One was to put America to work again by bringing jobs back and the other was to make the US military the most powerful and feared in the world again. Both would involve dealing with new technologies like big data, artificial intelligence, robotics and bioengineering -- often described as constituting the "fourth industrial revolution". The fusion of the cyber and the physical is indeed transforming the economic and security landscape in the world. Delhi, which has had little debate on the unfolding strategic implications of the fourth industrial revolution, must now begin to pay attention.
