The upgrade is set to be released Tuesday, October 20 and provides access to specific features for highway assistance and automatic traffic light and stop sign control. The software is an advanced version of Autopilot, which means drivers must keep their hands on the wheel to use the technology. Telsa's rollout is setting the firm up to release one million robotaxi vehicles, which are set to be ready by this year. However, the fate of both Tesla's robotaxis and fully autonomous vehicles depend on regulatory approval.
