A California startup is working on transforming a bomb sniffing robot into a device that detects coronavirus that claims to be faster than traditional testing. Koniku altered its Konikore device to detect Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) from breath, which is common for those infected with the virus. The'smell cyborg' mimics the look of a flying saucer and has a chip programmed to detect a certain scent, which triggers lights when it is identified. 'Our first products will be delivered to customers before the end of the year.' 'There are a variety of use cases for the Konikore, including hospitality, entertainment, transportation, logistics, defense, manufacturing and food.'
