At the beginning of 2021, President Emmanuel Macron and Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder pledged to intensify cooperation between Bavaria and France in the field of technology and innovation. In this context, on October 23, the launch of an Artificial Intelligence competition named "AI Cup" was announced. Mathilde Mougeot, holder of the Industrial Chair "Industrial Data Analytics and Machine Learning" of ENS Paris-Saclay and her team who organize jointly with the University of Passau, this new challenge whose theme is "AI for a better world" unveiled the modalities. AI-Cup is a Franco-Bavarian initiative to support the future generation of AI entrepreneurs and to create innovative AI start-ups in Europe. It is aimed at students or PhD students from the academic field in Bavaria and France, who can demonstrate not only their scientific skills in the field of Artificial Intelligence but also their entrepreneurial skills.
