A long line stretched across the show floor at CES this week as attendees eagerly waited for their chance to sit inside the Bell Nexus 4EX air taxi. This is the firm's second version of the fully electric flying vehicle, which now boasts a larger wing than its predecessor that made an appearance at the Las Vegas event in 2019. The redesigned craft can carry up to five passengers for 60 miles at a speed of around 150 miles per hour – and could take off in the next five years. Bell is part of Uber Elevate, which is the ride-hailing giant's initiative that aims to fast-track the process of bringing taxis to the skies, a concept it has already explored with plans to launch UberAIR in the future.
