AI fairness requires fighting bias with bias

Bias is a tricky term in general, and psychiatrists have developed long treatises trying to explain what it is and how it works. The current discussion around bias in AI, however, is a little off the mark, in large part by declaring that the objective is to remove AI bias altogether.
