Artificial Intelligence Powered Banking
Banking business and technology leaders agree that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is among the key trends that will reshape the industry in 2017. Siri, Alexa, Google home) are gaining popularity among progressive banks. Financial Services is data intensive and therefore a great candidate for AI automation. AI technologies offers banks an opportunity to reinvent banking processes and gain unprecedented advantages. However, there is a lack of clear direction to banks on how should they approach this technology. Are banks ready for AI adoption?
AI and Customer Care: The Future is Here
Siri, Alexa, and OK Google… these are the virtual interactions that Sci-Fi movies have portrayed for decades past. The future is, it seems, here at our fingertips. These technologies are sparking new expectations in today's consumers on an almost daily basis. We want intelligent interactions that are personalized to our own situations and we want them on demand – not after we waste our precious time sitting on hold. Long gone are the days when customers almost expected to experience IVR hell and would pretty much tolerate jaw-dropping wait times.
How can I remove unwanted apps from Windows 10?
Tony hates apps such as Cortana, Edge, Xbox, Groove and would like to uninstall them. Thu 18 Jan 2018 09.24 EST Last modified on Thu 18 Jan 2018 09.25 EST I am not a power user. I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which has plenty of features I don't need, and I hate Cortana, Edge, Xbox, Groove etc. I noticed that one of the Windows 10 tuners you reviewed last week "removes unwanted programs". Would it work for these?
10 software development predictions for 2018
Siddhartha Agarwal is vice president, product management and strategy, for Oracle Cloud Platform. Developers should be burning with excitement about the opportunities ahead in 2018, with products and tools around technologies such as blockchain, chatbots, serverless functions, and machine learning becoming mature enough for real-world projects. At the same time, many developers will be worried about holding up against the pressure to deliver code and functionality faster without compromising security or performance. But there is good news on that front as well. For developers, 2018 will be defined by this tension between seizing transformative new opportunities while coping with the pressure to do more, with higher quality.
The Power of the Human Voice
I recently saw the latest Star Wars movie "The Last Jedi." It was powerful in many ways, not the least of which was because it was the final film for actress Carrie Fisher, who was excellent. In film, the way to connect with the theater goer is with close-ups of the faces of the actors. It's powerful and we respond, as human beings, to another person's face. When radio was born, people could not see faces, and the connection radio listeners would make would be with people's voices.
It's time for cord cutters to embrace the smart TV
A few years ago, I refused to even consider using a smart TV's built-in software over an external streaming box. The experience was typically too sluggish, the app selection too limited, and the features too far behind the times. Although I've bought three TVs in as many years, software was never part of my decision-making. But as I look back at CES, the tech industry's TV-centric mega-tradeshow held in Las Vegas last week, I'm starting to reconsider. Smart TVs are increasingly becoming first-class experiences, superior to what you'd get with a dedicated streaming box or stick.
Android Wear vs. Samsung Gear: Which smartwatch should you buy?
If your phone runs Android, and you're interested in buying a smartwatch, your journey begins with answering a single fundamental question: Samsung Gear or Android Wear? Sure, there are other smartwatch platforms that work with Android phones, but Gear (perhaps best represented by the Gear S3) and Android Wear (represented by watches too numerous to mention) have the most mature ecosystems and refined hardware. Google's Android Wear platform has strong third-party app support, and if you opt for a Wear watch, you can choose from a wide variety of models in all shapes, sizes and styles. Samsung, meanwhile, has gone its own way with its Gear smartwatch line-up. These watches run Samsung software, and adhere strictly to the Samsung ecosystem, but also offer some benefits that Wear watches do not.
10 Ways Artificial Intelligence Will Transform Email Marketing - MailBakery
Artificial Intelligence is part of our everyday life and we constantly hear stories about its application: Apple's personal assistant Siri, the learning thermostat Next, Tesla's self-driving car technology, Google's RankBrain, Amazon's purchase prediction AI, etc. As email marketing evolves it's only a matter of time before machine-learning-powered solutions take over human tasks like: Big Data processing, finding patterns in user behaviour, email content creation, lead nurturing, etc. But does this mean that email marketers will be replaced by much more efficient machines? May be it's too early to say. There are however a handful of ways Artificial Intelligence is going to affect email marketing.
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence, or AI, as it's lovingly referred to, is here to stay. AI is the machine learning that powers the science behind all of your smart devices. These smart devices connect to the internet and transmit data to make your life easier. This process makes up the "Internet of Things" (the IoT). And, the IoT has been one of the biggest buzzwords this year.
Analysis: Artificial intelligence the new battleground for AWS
IN A bid to further demarcate the battle lines between the world's largest cloud behemoths, Amazon Web Services Inc is betting big on artificial intelligence (AI) in the coming years, a strategy that is aimed at extending its already considerable lead in the industry. At the recently concluded re:Invent 2017 annual conference held at the Sands Convention Centre in Las Vegas in November for customers, partners, analysts and press, the one unequivocal thing on AWS' chief executive officer (CEO) Andy Jassy's (pic, above) mind was this: We have always led in the cloud and will continue our leadership through AI and machine learning. Jassy, who was promoted from senior vice president to CEO of AWS in 2016, said AWS continues to lead the market as an infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) player. Citing numbers from research firm Gartner, Jassy said AWS has captured 44% of the cloud market share in 2016, up year-over-year from 39%. The world's leading and largest cloud computing player was in a buoyant mood as Jassy set the tone of the conference by thanking all the attendees at re:invent 2017 – some 43,000 people, up 9,000 from last year's event – for keeping faith with the company and growing its user base further.
