Mobile Money vs Mobile Banking
– This post was originally published on 26-August-2014 on Linkedin. Basic knowledge and introduction on mobile money and its critical success factors, attributes, key stake holders along with meaning were discussed in Mobile Money Basics (updated on 21-Dec-2014). People interested in the use of mobile phones for their payments, sending money to each other (P2P) or checking balance, often ask what is the difference between e-money, mobile money, mobile banking, mobile payments, mobile commerce etc. Most of the consumers who wants to use and even some who are already using these services are confused. As there are no universally accepted/defined definitions.
Ubisoft's Sam is a virtual assistant meant solely for gamers
Apple has Siri, Amazon has Alexa, and now, Ubisoft has Sam. It's a virtual assistant geared specifically toward gaming, and Ubisoft has started to weave a beta version of the service into its Ubisoft Club companion app... well, for Canadian gamers, anyway. Ubisoft is clearly treating Sam as a test balloon of sorts, meant to gather data and gauge people's reactions to the idea of a game-fluent concierge. After a brief demo, though, it seems pretty clear that not everyone will find Sam useful in the short term. You can engage it in idle chitchat and ask it general knowledge questions, but Sam is at its best when you ask it about (what else?) Ubisoft games.
Amazon s £120 Echo Spot launches in the UK from today
Today sees the UK launch of Amazon's latest Echo home device, a glorified alarm clock, which could see the firm put a camera and microphone in your bedroom. Echo Spot, which also doubles up as a small viewing screen, will probably be facing directly your bed most of the time. The device, which has been available in the US since December 2017 for $130, is also being released in Austria and Germany for €129.99 (£114 / $160) It has such sophisticated microphones it can hear people talking from across the room, even if music is playing. However, there remain privacy concerns over using such a device in the home, as Amazon devices have previously been activated when they're not wanted - meaning this small device could turn into a potential spy. Artificial Intelligence Stocks To Watch For In 2018 And Beyond
This article originally appeared in the Motley Fool. The artificial intelligence (AI) market could grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 57% between 2017 and 2025 to become a $36 billion market according to Grand View Research. However, this fragmented market can be tough to navigate for investors who haven't kept up with the latest AI developments. Let's highlight the main trends investors should keep an eye on. Tech giants like Alphabet's (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google, Facebook (NASDAQ:FB), and Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) accumulate lots of data as users use their services.
Artificial Intelligence - Google Home Mini and How It Affects your Business

3 ways AI will alter the enterprise
As consumers, we're familiar with -- if not yet wholly invested in -- the term "artificial intelligence," whether it's by way of self-driving cars or voice-enabled search like Siri and Amazon's Alexa. Artificial intelligence is on course to drastically change the enterprise, with big implications for productivity, and possibly even larger ramifications for the economy. Business intelligence is providing companies with an overabundance of data, but it's AI that's emerging to make this data actionable by giving executives and employees useful insights that are relevant to their specific roles and what they need to accomplish on any given day. To name just a few implications of how business will change with AI, today's workforce will be empowered to take on new approaches with time management, teamwork and collaboration, client service, and business forecasting. For example, instead of just assessing raw data, artificial intelligence can take into account historical patterns and the current context of an employee's role, the nature of the business within which they work, and market dynamics.
Google Home Max review: This is the best-sounding smart speaker you can buy
Getting a review unit late, as is the case with the Google Home Max, gives me the benefit of reading a lot of people's opinions of a product before I formulate my own. And reviewing a lot of similar speakers before I evaluate the one at hand gives me a broad base of experience upon which to formulate mine. Based on those two fronts, the Google Home Max has been praised just a wee bit overenthusiastically. That said, the Google Home Max is the best smart speaker I've heard. Amazon certainly has nothing close to it in terms of audio performance, and neither do any of the manufacturers building Echo clones.
The Rise of Machines Against Humans - #infographic
The AI technology has been picking up steam in the past couple of years. Scientists from all around the world are slowly but surely cracking this riddle. Sure, they are still a long journey away from creating a true Artificial Intelligence, but each year we see significant breakthroughs in this field. Today, you can find some form of AI in many everyday places. For example, Alexa and Siri are world famous AI assistants.
What Is Artificial Intelligence and How Is It Powering Our Lives? » Science ABC
When we come across the terms "Machine Learning" and "Artificial Intelligence" (AI), images of sentient robots fighting their war on our planet (Transformers) or bots from Skynet leaving American cities in ruins (Terminator), are quick to appear in our minds. Most of us think that AI is restricted to bots trying to enslave humankind. However, AI is much more than a machine bearing a human-esque learning tendency. In fact, you might be surprised by how often we encounter this technology in our daily lives. Think of the times when you are scrolling through your Facebook feed and multiple advertisements appear for casual shoes that you were thinking of buying.
How AI Is Evolving The Patient Experience
PSFK researchers look at artificial intelligence's growing role in healthcare for needs like scheduling and patient communication In recent years it has become evident that AI is having a sizable impact on the way patients receive health care, as well as how professionals administer that care. For example, medical practitioners and patients are using AI-driven self-scheduling and smart calendar software to schedule appointments, conversational assistants to diagnose and prescribe medicines, and virtual platforms for remote consultations. PSFK researchers took a closer look at how technology is evolving the patient experience and how these advancements can provide additional insights into ways that retailers are using scheduling software to optimize staffing for improved customer experiences. These technologies are no longer fringe or extreme cases; in fact, Sandhya Pruthi, MD, Associate Medical Director of the Mayo Clinic, commented on how they are impacting patient care today: "Voice-enabled experience is a new and growing channel for reaching people and delivering information they are seeking, whether or not they have an existing relationship with Mayo Clinic." As part of a larger trend we are calling'Self-Scheduling,' PSFK researchers exlpored how new technologies are seamlessly onboarding patients and connecting them to the right doctors and medical practitioners through voice-based activations and mobile or digital platforms.
