diploma
A prof falsely accused his class of using ChatGPT. Their diplomas are in jeopardy.
In response to concerns in the classroom, a fleet of companies have released products claiming they can flag AI generated text. A Post examination showed it can wrongly flag human generated text as written by AI. In January, ChatGPT-maker OpenAI said it created a tool that can distinguish between human and AI-generated text, but noted that it "is not fully reliable" and is wrong 9 percent of the time.

Ask a Teacher: What Mantras Can Help My Child Be Confident When Faced with a Bully?
Do you have any favorite internal affirmations or mantras you like to offer students to help them feel confident in the face of potential bullies or put-downs? I'm trying to help out my elementary schooler. Right now I'm thinking of sayings along the lines of "I am awesome just as I am," or "I will not let others define me." Additionally, if there are any great all-purpose verbal comebacks or responses that might be applied generally, those would be helpful and welcome as well. Really, I welcome any suggestions you have for helping my child muster up confidence (with kindness). I speak to my students about this all the time.

Robots stand in for university students during graduation in Japan during the coronavirus pandemic
Colleges around the world have been forced to shut down due to the coronavirus, but a group of students in Japan are not letting the pandemic ruin their graduation. Using Newme telepresensence robots, students attending Business Breakthrough (BBT) University in Tokyo were able to walk across the stage and accept their diploma, all while self-isolating at home. The robots were dressed in a cap and gown and fitted with tablets on their heads, allowing students to show their face using Zoom. Students who attended the graduation remotely operated the robots in what is deemed the'world's first' online graduation ceremony. Four students virtually walked across the stage at the Hotel Grand Palace in Tokyo on March 28.

How Governments Are Adopting Blockchain and AI In Advanced Economies
Governments in advanced countries are adopting Blockchain technology and artificial intelligence at a rapid pace. From Estonia, to Malta, The Netherlands to the United States, all countries busy themselves to become fully digitalized societies, hopefully before the expiration of the current decade. As I have written on a previous article, blockchain, AI and the Internet of Things are evolving at an unimaginable speed, particularly in advanced economies. Thus governments necessarily need to look at blockchain technology as being the best tech to cope with an increasingly interconnected and complex world. The reason why blockchain can be so useful pertains to its characteristics in terms of enhanced trust and because they are designed at their core to be transparent.

Inside X, the Moonshot Factory Racing to Build the Next Google
At 6:40 in the morning, a klaxon horn sounds three times. "Gas!" a man in a hard hat and fluorescent vest yells out. There's a hissing noise, and the helium starts flowing. From the tanks stacked like cordwood on a nearby truck, the gas moves through a series of hoses until it's 55 feet up, then through a copper pipe and into the top of a plastic tube that hangs down to the ground, like a shed snake skin held up for inspection. It's a Wednesday in late June in Winnemucca, a solitary mining town in northern Nevada that has avoided oblivion by straddling the I-80 freeway. Along with two Basque restaurants, the Buckaroo Hall of Fame, and a giant W carved into the side of a hill, Winnemucca is the test site for Project Loon, a grandiose scheme launched in 2011 to bring the internet to huge swaths of the planet where sparse population and challenging geography make the usual networks of cell towers a nonstarter.
