Incredible video shows a flying ambulance that could speed up emergency support

Daily Mail - Science & tech

In some rural areas, people can be left waiting hours for emergency support. But a new drone ambulance has been designed that could dramatically cut wait times and save lives. The drone concept does not need a pilot, and is small enough to easily land on a street, unlike large helicopter ambulances. While ambulance response times in big cities are usually fairly low, in rural areas, people can be left waiting hours for emergency support. The drone is modelled on a standard quadcopter, and is driven by GPS, a pilot, or a combination of both.
