Get over ChatGPT on Earth, AI is about to touch the Moon - India Today

By India Today Web Desk: While the world is suddenly gripped by the fascination of ChatGPT with varied industries looking to explore the exponential resource, Artificial intelligence (AI) is about to touch the surface of the Moon. MoonNet, an AI system, is hitching the ride to the lunar world on a United Arab Emirates rover. The Rashid rover was launched to the Moon by Elon Musk's SpaceX on December 11 and will arrive at its destination this spring. The payload will land on the surface using Japan's HAKUTO-R mission 1 lander. The AI system has been developed by Canada's Mission Control Space Services (MCSS) based on $3.04 million in funding from the Canadian Space Agency to demonstrate deep learning AI for the first time on the lunar surface.
