What is AI and how does it work?

As we all know, computers strictly follow a set of instructions decided by humans. We use computers, because they can execute the set of instructions in the click of a finger. Computers still need human assistance. To be more powerful than humans they require a brain to control the decisions they make. This where AI comes to play.
