Will robots and AI leave your staff out of a job?
It's a startling figure but it's nevertheless one that every business needs to be aware of. Up to 30 per cent of existing British jobs are susceptible to automation from robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) by the early 2030s, according to research undertaken by accountants and business advisors PwC. But PwC maintains that, in many cases, the nature of jobs will change rather than disappear. The likelihood of automation appears highest in sectors such as transport, manufacturing, and wholesale and retail and lower in education, health and social work. What's more, men are at greater potential risk of job automation than women and education will be the key differentiating factor for individual workers.
