It is understandable why many people think that machines are going to eradicate some lower-skilled jobs in light of the hair-raising advancement that companies are observing across the artificial intelligence and robotics space. However, the reality is quite the opposite. It appears to be a fever pitch against the backdrop of the market that has gone frothy over artificial intelligence and machine learning. In the early 1980s when the age of the personal computer arrived and the machine became ubiquitous, a new kind of anxiety captivated people. Everyone thought that computers are going to take over everything and "computerphobia" was suddenly everywhere.
