FinBrain: When Finance Meets AI 2.0
Zheng, Xiaolin, Zhu, Mengying, Li, Qibing, Chen, Chaochao, Tan, Yanchao
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the core technology of technological revolution and industrial transformation. As one of the new intelligent needs in the AI 2.0 era, financial intelligence has elicited much attention from the academia and industry. In our current dynamic capital market, financial intelligence demonstrates a fast and accurate machine learning capability to handle complex data and has gradually acquired the potential to become a "financial brain". In this work, we survey existing studies on financial intelligence. First, we describe the concept of financial intelligence and elaborate on its position in the financial technology field. Second, we introduce the development of financial intelligence and review state-of-the-art techniques in wealth management, risk management, financial security, financial consulting, and blockchain. Finally, we propose a research framework called FinBrain and summarize four open issues, namely, explainable financial agents and causality, perception and prediction under uncertainty, risk-sensitive and robust decision making, and multi-agent game and mechanism design. We believe that these research directions can lay the foundation for the development of AI 2.0 in the finance field.

AI in Digital MArketing will improve it for better
AI is the buzzword in current times; it just knows how to be in the news and to be fair I would be disappointed if a thing that has intelligence in its name hasn't figured out a way to do so, or maybe it will be able to do it in the near future. AI is something that has been able to attract almost all the industries one company tried maintaining its gap. Digital marketing companies were somewhat shy of incorporating AI in their work, an industry that had so much to gain from the use of AI in its work. Now we can say it, luxuries of being in the present and having knowledge about the things in the past lets criticise them. It's all in the past, digital marketers has since used AI in the industries in quite a few ways and it has helped make it better in certain aspects.

Alexa Is Shielding Children From the Truth
Being a child must be terribly confusing--hence all of the "why" and "how" questions. With no guidebook, no references, no context--no understanding of history and how society came to be, or of reproduction and how they came to be--the world is mystifying for its newest members, and growing up is a gradual process of demystification. It's no wonder kids have so many questions. It's also no wonder that they are enthralled by Alexa, the disembodied know-it-all on hand to answer their stream of queries. Smart speakers are the perfect players for their game of Twenty Million Questions.
The future is ear: Why "hearables" are finally tech's next big thing
Donning pre-production versions of Doppler's Here One wireless earbuds, they experienced the device's ability to cancel out unwanted background noise, amplify the voice of a particular person in the room, and even converse with people speaking in another language. About a half-second after a Doppler staffer asked a question in Spanish, the wearer heard a computerized translation back into English. At least two of the companies made informal acquisition bids, but none offered a high-enough price to convince Doppler to give up its dreams of launching a momentous new product. Sales failed to take off, and a year later the company was shuttered. Within weeks of its closing, more than half of Doppler's top technologists were working for the tech giants.

Future elections may be swayed by intelligent, weaponized chatbots
The battle against propaganda bots is an arm's race for our democracy. It's one we may be about to lose. Bots--simple computer scripts--were originally designed to automate repetitive tasks like organizing content or conducting network maintenance, thus sparing humans hours of tedium. Companies and media outlets also use bots to operate social-media accounts, to instantly alert users of breaking news or promote newly published material. But they can also be used to operate large numbers of fake accounts, which makes them ideal for manipulating people.
