Supplementary Material A ViD Videos from Diverse Countries
In order to find the country location for each video in previous Y ouTube-based datasets (e.g., Kinetics, HACS, etc.), we used the public Y ouTube API. 'The geolocation information associated with the video. In our measure, roughly 8% of the videos had such geolocation. We then used reverse-geocode library https://pypi.org/project/reverse-geocode/

GOLFS: Feature Selection via Combining Both Global and Local Information for High Dimensional Clustering
Xing, Zhaoyu, Wan, Yang, Wen, Juan, Zhong, Wei
It is important to identify the discriminative features for high dimensional clustering. However, due to the lack of cluster labels, the regularization methods developed for supervised feature selection can not be directly applied. To learn the pseudo labels and select the discriminative features simultaneously, we propose a new unsupervised feature selection method, named GlObal and Local information combined Feature Selection (GOLFS), for high dimensional clustering problems. The GOLFS algorithm combines both local geometric structure via manifold learning and global correlation structure of samples via regularized self-representation to select the discriminative features. The combination improves the accuracy of both feature selection and clustering by exploiting more comprehensive information. In addition, an iterative algorithm is proposed to solve the optimization problem and the convergency is proved. Simulations and two real data applications demonstrate the excellent finite-sample performance of GOLFS on both feature selection and clustering.

Robotic Putting Greens. Mixed Reality. Loud Spectators. This Is Golf?!
Cameron young slides a driver from his bag. He stares at a hole referred to as Texas Hill Country. It's new to him--a par 4 with sand hazards and rough to avoid. The 26-year-old is in the top 20 in the Official World Golf Ranking, but he's not sure how to proceed. He turns to his companion, former pro Roberto Castro.

Global and Local Hierarchy-aware Contrastive Framework for Implicit Discourse Relation Recognition
Jiang, Yuxin, Zhang, Linhan, Wang, Wei
Due to the absence of explicit connectives, implicit discourse relation recognition (IDRR) remains a challenging task in discourse analysis. The critical step for IDRR is to learn high-quality discourse relation representations between two arguments. Recent methods tend to integrate the whole hierarchical information of senses into discourse relation representations for multi-level sense recognition. Nevertheless, they insufficiently incorporate the static hierarchical structure containing all senses (defined as global hierarchy), and ignore the hierarchical sense label sequence corresponding to each instance (defined as local hierarchy). For the purpose of sufficiently exploiting global and local hierarchies of senses to learn better discourse relation representations, we propose a novel GlObal and Local Hierarchy-aware Contrastive Framework (GOLF), to model two kinds of hierarchies with the aid of multi-task learning and contrastive learning. Experimental results on PDTB 2.0 and PDTB 3.0 datasets demonstrate that our method remarkably outperforms current state-of-the-art models at all hierarchical levels. Our code is publicly available at https://github.com/YJiangcm/GOLF_for_IDRR

Determinate Node Selection for Semi-supervised Classification Oriented Graph Convolutional Networks
Xiao, Yao, Xu, Ji, Yang, Jing, Li, Shaobo
Graph Convolutional Networks (GCNs) have been proved successful in the field of semi-supervised node classification by extracting structural information from graph data. However, the random selection of labeled nodes used by GCNs may lead to unstable generalization performance of GCNs. In this paper, we propose an efficient method for the deterministic selection of labeled nodes: the Determinate Node Selection (DNS) algorithm. The DNS algorithm identifies two categories of representative nodes in the graph: typical nodes and divergent nodes. These labeled nodes are selected by exploring the structure of the graph and determining the ability of the nodes to represent the distribution of data within the graph. The DNS algorithm can be applied quite simply on a wide range of semi-supervised graph neural network models for node classification tasks. Through extensive experimentation, we have demonstrated that the incorporation of the DNS algorithm leads to a remarkable improvement in the average accuracy of the model and a significant decrease in the standard deviation, as compared to the original method.
Artificial intelligence could be a stroke of genius for golf
AI solutions invariably flourish in huge, globe-spanning industries with healthy profit margins and enormous ecosystems. An accurate description of the global golf industry, which also explains why big-name brands and investors are so confident it's on course for a wealth of new business opportunities. US-based sports equipment manufacturer Callaway already had a reputation for innovation even before the advent of AI technology. The company's original Big Bertha driver was launched in 1991 and considered a radical departure from its predecessors. In 2019, Callaway introduced Flash Face, designed by an AI-powered US$8mn supercomputer which could generate 15,000 face design iterations and over 100 impact simulations.
I'm trying to educate my son in sports video games, but he is not having any of it Dominik Diamond
My son Charlie will be 18 soon. Like all Scottish males before him, he will be dropped on a Hebridean island with nothing but a rusty knife and his own anger. If he can't make it back to the mainland, he will live the rest of his life among feral, abandoned Scottish sons, and he will only survive if he likes sport, because that's how any group of men get through enforced time together. He tried sport as a kid, but as he is on the autism spectrum, he was obsessed with rules to the point where if he felt another kid broke them, he would pick the ball up and stop the game. He was basically human VAR.

Here's why you won't see a new Nintendo Switch anytime soon
With the latest and greatest new PlayStation and Xbox consoles in high demand, the video game makers at Nintendo surely must be ready to dump its nearly five-year-old Switch game system, right? Sure, Sony and Microsoft's new systems, released in November 2020, are lusted after and still nearly impossible to find on store shelves. But the Nintendo Switch is not always assured to be in stock, either. The Nintendo Switch has been the top-selling video game console in the U.S. for the past 30 months – yeah, you read that right, the leading unit seller for 2½ years – according to research firm The NPD Group. That surpasses the previous longest streak (21 months) held by the Xbox 360 having from August 2011 through April 2013, according to NPD. 'We need to continue to innovate':How charities are using NFTs as a way to fundraise The Nintendo Switch may not be as powerful as the newer Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles, which play games in 4K and eventually could display 8K games.
'Mario Golf: Super Rush' brings the putting green to your living room
I say nostalgic, because I grew up playing golf with my dad, who passed away from ALS in 2020 and was unable to play the sport in his final years. In his spare time, you could catch him practicing his swings with an imaginary club. In the second grade, I even made him a clay golf ball to put his pencils in. As I played "Mario Golf," I couldn't help but imagine how he would've reacted to seeing a video game that's all about his favorite hobby -- with a Mario twist.
