Users Like It or Not, A.I. Is Part of Health Care Now There's a key thing to keep in mind if you ask a chatbot for medical advice. Asking a general-use chatbot for health help used to seem like a shot in the dark--just two years ago, a study found that ChatGPT could diagnose only 2 in 10 pediatric cases correctly. Among Google Gemini's early recommendations were eating one small rock a day and using glue to help cheese stick to pizza . Last year, a nutritionist ended up hospitalized after taking ChatGPT's advice to replace salt in his diet with sodium bromide. Now A.I. companies have begun releasing health-specific chatbots for both consumers and health care professionals.
LLM Robustness Leaderboard v1 --Technical report
Lefebvre, Pierre Peigné -, Feuillade-Montixi, Quentin, David, Tom, Miailhe, Nicolas
This technical report accompanies the LLM robustness leaderboard published by PRISM Eval for the Paris AI Action Summit. We introduce PRISM Eval Behavior Elicitation Tool (BET), an AI system performing automated red-teaming through Dynamic Adversarial Optimization that achieves 100% Attack Success Rate (ASR) against 37 of 41 state-of-the-art LLMs. Beyond binary success metrics, we propose a fine-grained robustness metric estimating the average number of attempts required to elicit harmful behaviors, revealing that attack difficulty varies by over 300-fold across models despite universal vulnerability. We introduce primitive-level vulnerability analysis to identify which jailbreaking techniques are most effective for specific hazard categories. Our collaborative evaluation with trusted third parties from the AI Safety Network demonstrates practical pathways for distributed robustness assessment across the community.

Building Trust in Conversational AI: A Comprehensive Review and Solution Architecture for Explainable, Privacy-Aware Systems using LLMs and Knowledge Graph
Zafar, Ahtsham, Parthasarathy, Venkatesh Balavadhani, Van, Chan Le, Shahid, Saad, khan, Aafaq Iqbal, Shahid, Arsalan
Conversational AI systems have emerged as key enablers of human-like interactions across diverse sectors. Nevertheless, the balance between linguistic nuance and factual accuracy has proven elusive. In this paper, we first introduce LLMXplorer, a comprehensive tool that provides an in-depth review of over 150 Large Language Models (LLMs), elucidating their myriad implications ranging from social and ethical to regulatory, as well as their applicability across industries. Building on this foundation, we propose a novel functional architecture that seamlessly integrates the structured dynamics of Knowledge Graphs with the linguistic capabilities of LLMs. Validated using real-world AI news data, our architecture adeptly blends linguistic sophistication with factual rigour and further strengthens data security through Role-Based Access Control. This research provides insights into the evolving landscape of conversational AI, emphasizing the imperative for systems that are efficient, transparent, and trustworthy.

Assisting a finance business to harness the power of AI in advertising and marketing
The company requested that Faculty determine the major strategic opportunities for it, including optimisation of the existing business functions through the application of new technologies and the creation of new revenue opportunities using AI. We were asked to engage with and execute the most impactful of these opportunities, in collaboration with the company's internal team. First, we identified areas where data was being under-utilised and where AI could add value. Then we made recommendations about the organisational and personnel structure. We provided training for employees in data science management, helped to recruit a new head of data science and filled data scientist roles from Faculty Fellowship programme.

An Affective Robot Companion for Assisting the Elderly in a Cognitive Game Scenario
Churamani, Nikhil, Sutherland, Alexander, Barros, Pablo
Decreased physical, mental and social activity may lead to several cognitive disorders in the elderly. As an individual retires from work, the risk of cognitive-decline increases with age due to decreased mental and physical activity [1]. Engaging in cognitively stimulating activities such as playing board games or solving puzzles may reduce the risk of severe cognitive deterioration and protect against the development of dementia [2]. Furthermore, coping with the decreased social activity with the inclusion of robot companions may lead to positive long-term benefits as a result of modelling engaging human-robot interactions [3]. Such robot companions can assist the users in solving cognitive tasks such as puzzles, keeping them mentally stimulated and at the same time engaging them in meaningful affective interactions helping them to cope with the stress of their day-to-day life.
