The company has published an update about Project Glasswing, a month after its launch. Anthropic has published an initial report for Project Glasswing, the cybersecurity initiative it launched in April that aims to prevent AI cyberattacks with, well, AI. The initiative is powered by Claude Mythos Preview, the company's unreleased model, which Anthropic says has already helped its partners find more than ten thousand vulnerabilities overall just a month after Glasswing's launch. In addition, it says most of its partners have each found hundreds of critical-or high-severity vulnerabilities in their software using the model. The company said that its partners' rate of bug-finding has increased by more than a factor of ten.

A French woman and her partner will remain in custody after allegedly abandoning her two young boys on a roadside in the south of Portugal, a court has ruled. The boys were found on Tuesday evening crying beside a road near Alcacer do Sal, about 100km (60 miles) south of Lisbon. The woman and her partner, identified by authorities as Marine R and Marc B, were arrested in Fatima on Thursday. As they were being led into court on Saturday morning, the man shouted I love you in French and the boys' mother sang. A judge subsequently ordered the pair be placed in pre-trial detention, French and Portuguese media report.

Zelenskyy says'time is right' for Ukraine to start process of joining EU Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has told European Union leaders that now is the time to begin the process of Ukraine's accession to the bloc, describing a proposal for associate membership as "unfair". Zelenskyy said in a letter to EU leaders on Friday that associate membership would leave Ukraine "voiceless" because it would not have voting rights, which would prevent Kyiv from advancing its interests, the Reuters news agency reported.
