RAeS Seminar: Artificial Intelligence in the Weapons Domain

This virtual seminar, hosted by the RAeS Weapon Systems and Technology Specialist Group, will examine current understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), how it is presently used, and crucially, how it may be used in weapon systems in the future. The seminar will address the perceived challenges that AI brings and will also look at the ethical issues and where the boundaries of AI may lay. Our speakers are leading experts in this field and this seminar offers a unique opportunity to understand some of the advances in this field of science that is new to many in the weapons community. The seminar aims to generate discussion and debate between the speakers and the audience with the objective of better understanding the issues that the use of AI brings and to identify possible solutions.
