Could Artificial Intelligence One Day Exceed Human Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence (AI) has come a long way over the past decade and already some of these applications are outpacing the capabilities of their creators in various different fields, ranging from beating Go champions to outguessing cardiac surgeons. Some experts are even suggesting that AI willfully exceeds human intelligence within the next three decades. The field of medicine has seen the great benefits of AI directly in many cases. Just recently s group of researchers forms the University of Nottingham, U.K. developed a machine learning algorithm that had the ability to predict a patient's chances of having a heart attack or stroke. It turned out that the algorithm was more accurate than the guidelines issued by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association (ACC/AHA).
