NEW SOFT ROBOTS THAT ARE MORE AGILE AND CONTROLLABLE – DURKKAS INFOTECH

#artificialintelligence

A team of researchers led by an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at Cornell University has developed a new system of surprisingly simple fluid-powered actuators that enables soft robots to perform more complex movements. The researchers achieved this by exploiting the viscosity that previously hindered the motion of liquid-driven soft robots. A soft robot has a very simple structure, but can have a much more flexible function than a rigid robot. In other words, it is the ultimate embodied intelligent robot. Most modern soft robots are powered by liquids.
