Tech: fear the robots will take over? In the food business, they already have

I had an epiphany at the salad bar. I was tapping my order for a matcha chicken avocado bowl into an iPad, when it hit me. The machines have taken over. San Francisco is so overrun with bots and apps that I could eat breakfast, lunch and dinner without interacting with a human -- and I don't mean home delivery. But the iPad ordering stations mean I don't have the bother of verbalising my desires to the human standing 5ft away behind the counter.
