Are we in fact Ai Algorithms inside a computer simulation running on Computer hardware belonging to an advanced civilization? If you look at where we are heading in our own reality with Artificial intelligence and Virtual reality, it is not too hard to imagine a time in the future where we create a whole world simulation, of which the characters inside the sim believe they are real.
