Artificial Intelligence Art: Parenting a new genre Forbes India

Working with a diverse group of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, media and stylistic sensibilities, the artists use a kind of AI algorithm, called a neural network, and teach it a visual language. The artists do not provide it with any rule or principle; they only expose it to large numbers of visual examples and allow it to draw its conclusions. After this'training', the AI begins creating the final work. The images featured here puts AI in the artists' place while the human artists help these neural networks express themselves. Thus, the curators pose a question and a problem of great consequence for the artists of the future: If the machine becomes an expert at creating new aesthetic styles and perhaps even at conceptual innovation, what is left for human artists to do?
