I have read multiple blogs and news articles with apocalyptic views on how Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing or Robots are going to cause the extinction of humans, or how Blockchain was going to make banking obsolete. What if convergence was the greater threat? Quantum Computing: This new computing model does away with current processing that is more serial and moves towards a completely parallel paradigm. From this standpoint, we would take a labyrinth (today's computers would try one road) and on failure try the next until the centre is reached. The new computing model would take all variables and all pathways at once, and would resolve the labyrinth in a manner of seconds.
