From Facebook to Outbrain, it costs three times the cost of a click for a content marketer to get any meaningful engagement with their work. According to that same study, users who spend 15 seconds or more on a webpage will read 80% of the content or more. For every $1.50 spent on native advertising, $1.00 of it is wasted. Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don't know which half.
