Trump unveils new site to simplify access to government services
The administration of United States President Donald Trump has launched a new website called America.gov In a speech, the president claimed that the website would not store user information and used the opportunity to tout simplified access to information about elections and applications for citizenship. The site is powered by Google's Gemini AI and xAI's Grok, according to the chief design officer, Joe Gebbia. The executive order announcing the new site calls it "a unified digital front door to the Federal Government for every individual in the United States seeking Federal information or services". It also says the site will provide "an entry through which an individual may sign in, communicate in plain language, receive accurate answers, and, where authorized and technically available, complete Government transactions without being required to navigate the websites of multiple agencies."
