AI and Cybersecurity: What's the deal
Artificial intelligence is probably the future of security software regarding how many processes it can improve and how little resources it requires. Positively, it will be integrated into the advanced antivirus programs and take on more and more features. Although not all the antiviruses have AI integrated, it is still essential to protect personal gear and information from intruders and hacker attacks. If you need to find a porter antivirus, read professional and common user reviews. This way, you'll be able to see how good is AVG antivirus, Avast, or any other one, before AI can handle all the security processes. So, for starters, artificial intelligence can be classified into two types.
Why we shouldn't fear the future of work
The American workforce is at a crossroads. Digitization and automation have replaced millions of middle-class jobs, while wages have stagnated for many who remain employed. A lot of labor has become insecure, low-income freelance work. Yet there is reason for optimism on behalf of workers, as scholars and business leaders outlined in an MIT conference on Wednesday. Automation and artificial intelligence do not just replace jobs; they also create them.
A time of resiliency, change and innovation: How cloud-focused business strategies are driving transformation across industries - The Official Microsoft Blog
To help its service technicians more efficiently repair and maintain its models, Mercedes-Benz USA is outfitting all of its authorized American dealerships with HoloLens 2 headsets. The devices are equipped with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Remote Assist, a mixed reality app that that lets users collaborate during hands-free video calls from their own computers. Organizations have long known the importance of business resiliency, but becoming resilient requires time and preparation, and the pandemic has forced many organizations to evolve at a pace few could have imagined. To recover and thrive within this new context presents new challenges. That is why we are partnering with customers to support faster adoption of digital capabilities.
IT leaders discuss the role of AI during pandemic
The law firm Berry Appleman & Leiden helps companies facilitate the visa process when hiring foreign workers. Part of that process is working through the government's Request for Evidence (RFE) forms required to achieve an employment visa. Vince DiMascio, CIO and CTO at the firm, said he and his team have developed a system that uses AI to read the documents, understand them and help draft a response that matches what's needed for a specific industry and job. "It's a smart system that uses really advanced natural language processing, classifiers and machine learning," he said. While the system isn't expected to replace the employees, DiMascio said it is helping the company reassign employees and create new services and features and thus help drive innovation.

Cyberattacks against machine learning systems and the new Adversarial ML Threat Matrix - Securezoo Blog
In the wake of an increase in cyber attacks against machine learning (ML) systems, Microsoft along with MITRE and contributions from 11 other organizations, have released the Adversarial ML Threat Matrix. The Adversarial ML Threat Matrix is an open ATT&CK-style framework to help security analysts detect, respond to, and remediate threats against ML systems. Machine learning (ML) is often seen as a subset of artificial intelligence (AI) and is based on the ability of systems to automatically learn and improve from its experience. Many industries, such as finance, healthcare, and defense, have used ML to transform their businesses and positively impact people worldwide. With the ML and AI advancements, however, Microsoft warned that many organizations have not kept up on security of their ML systems.
Improving Health Outcomes Through Digitisation Of Healthcare
The COVID-19 pandemic has upended our lives and compelled governments, businesses and individuals to re-examine the ways of the past and reimagine the future. For India, the pandemic has also laid bare the several gaps in India's healthcare system and underscored the urgent need to improve health outcomes in the country. Digitization will play an integral role in plugging the prevailing gaps in India's healthcare ecosystem. In 2015, the government of India (GoI) launched the'Digital India' campaign with an aim to transform India into a leading economy of the future. In the last half a decade, the country has become the second-fastest digital adopter in the world--India has almost half a billion Internet users and more than 350 million smartphone users consuming 8.3 GB of data per month per subscriber.
AI could be the next big defence against cybercrime
The future of corporate cybersecurity seems to lie in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions, a new report from global IT company Wipro suggests. According to Wipro's annual State of Cybersecurity Report (SOCR), almost half (49 percent) of all cybersecurity-related patents filed in the last four years have centered on AI and ML application. Almost half of the 200 organizations that participated in the report also said they are expanding cognitive detection capabilities to tackle unknown attacks in their Security Operations Centers (SOC). From a global perspective, one of the main threats for organizations in the private sector seems to be potential espionage attacks from nation-states. Almost all (86 percent) cyberattacks that came from state-sponsored actors fall under the espionage category and almost half (46 percent) of those attacks targeted the private sector.

Banks turn to AI as regulators press for Libor exit
Frequently described as the world's most important number because it underpins trillions of dollars of transactions, the London interbank offered rate (Libor) has persisted until now despite a scandal that caused lasting reputational damage to the entire financial system. Libor is the key interest rate benchmark for mortgages, loans and contracts but it has been tainted since 2012 when it emerged that banks had misstated their Libor rate submissions, often in collusion, to make better returns. The controversy led to at least five traders going to jail in the UK, and US and UK regulators extracting penalties totalling about $10bn. Regulators want Libor phased out by December 31 2021, and banks are pivoting to alternative risk-free rates such as Sonia (sterling overnight interbank average rate). Its demise is already a headache for law firms and banking clients, which must examine hundreds of thousands of legal contracts containing references to the Libor rate and then rewrite and "repaper" them to ensure they include the new reference rates.
