Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Telecommunication Market Is Growing at a promising CAGR Of 42% During Forecast 2019-2025

#artificialintelligence

Global Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Telecommunication Industry valued approximately USD 651.2 million in 2017 is anticipated to grow with a healthy growth rate of more than 42% over the forecast period 2019-2025. The Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Telecommunication Industry is continuously growing in the global scenario at significant pace. Artificial intelligence (AI) is group of methodology that focus on formation of intelligent machines with the help of human intelligence such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages. The main application of artificial intelligence in telecommunications is for network management. The two key technologies that are widely in telecommunication industry are expert systems and machine learning.

John C. Mauro is Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University. John earned a B.S. in Glass Engineering Science (2001), B.A. in Computer Science (2001), and Ph.D. in Glass Science (2006), all from Alfred University. He joined Corning Incorporated in 1999 and served in multiple roles there, including Senior Research Manager of the Glass Research department. Mauro is the inventor or co-inventor of several new glass compositions for Corning, including Corning Gorilla Glass products. Mauro joined the faculty at Penn State in 2017 and is currently a world-recognized expert in fundamental and applied glass science, statistical mechanics, computational and condensed matter physics, thermodynamics, and the topology of disordered networks.

Communication through Conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI)

#artificialintelligence

Communication is key they say, or at least I was told so when I was younger. However, the older I got, the more proof I saw to this age-old saying. We more often than not end up misunderstanding the other that helped create opportunities that allowed ambiguity to prosper. Communication is important, and it gets a lot more important when we're talking business. We're taught back in business 101 that effective and efficient communication is imperative for a business owner if you're looking to run a successful business.

Artificial intelligence and war

The contest between China and America, the world's two superpowers, has many dimensions, from skirmishes over steel quotas to squabbles over student visas. Both countries are investing large sums in militarised artificial intelligence (ai), from autonomous robots to software that gives generals rapid tactical advice in the heat of battle. China frets that America has an edge thanks to the breakthroughs of Western companies, such as their successes in sophisticated strategy games. America fears that China's autocrats have free access to copious data and can enlist local tech firms on national service. Neither side wants to fall behind.

Mind-reading AI may spell end to humanity as we know it, but not because it will enslave us – Zizek

A computer that can read the thoughts of many people at once would make normal human life impossible, the Slovenian cultural philosopher told RT in the wake of the World Artificial Intelligence (AI) Conference in Shanghai, which saw Alibaba's chairman Jack Ma and Tesla CEO Elon Musk clashing over the future of AI. While the two technopreneurs engaged in a heated discussion over the possibility of humans being controlled by machines in the future, the senior researcher at the Institute for Sociology and Philosophy at the University of Ljubljana shared his thoughts on the issue with RT. What I am studying now is the so-called phenomenon of wired brains, a possibility of our brains being connected with strong digital machines. And that is not a utopia. In the media lab at MIT, Massachusetts, they already have simple machines like that.

Revolutionizing the Customer Experience with AI - Tech Wire Asia

Happiness is a good indicator of great customer experience. That's why we're attracted to brands that understand us, provide value and help us find what we are looking for. In the same way, our tolerance for the opposite is rapidly diminishing. It seems we are not alone. Although a staggering 80 percent of companies claim they have a holistic view of their customers, only 8 percent of customers feel they are getting a tailored, valuable experience from the brands they interact with.

AI, robotic process automation gain steam in state government StateScoop

#artificialintelligence

Artificial intelligence and robotic process automation are emerging as the most promising technologies for state IT offices, according to new data revealed at a government technology and leadership conference in Indianapolis this week. Doug Robinson, the executive director for the National Association of State Chief Information Officers, on Tuesday offered a preview of his organization's 2019 survey data, which shows that 65 percent of state CIOs believe AI and robotic process automation will be the "most impactful" emerging technologies for state government within the next three to five years. Robinson said it is an increase from 57 percent in 2018, with AI and robotics stealing interest away from other technologies such as the "internet of things," connected and autonomous vehicles and blockchain. State technology leaders see growing potential in the ability to automate many of their business processes, Robinson told the audience at the annual conference of the National Association of State Technology Directors. Indiana CIO Dewand Neely, who joined Robinson on stage, said he sees robotic process automation -- software tools that can automatically carry out tedious processes that could once only be done by humans, such as data entry -- as especially pertinent for the Indiana Office of Technology.

Facebook, Microsoft and the Partnership on AI Form the Deepfake Detection Challenge

#artificialintelligence

Facebook chief technology officer Mike Schroepfer said in a blog post this week that the social network is taking steps to combat deepfakes, with some highly qualified assistance. Facebook is teaming up with Microsoft, the Partnership on Artificial Intelligence to Benefit People and Society and academics from Cornell Tech, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Oxford, University of California-Berkeley, the University of Maryland-College Park and the University at Albany-State University of New York on the Deepfake Detection Challenge. The goal of the Deepfake Detection Challenge is to develop technology to better detect when AI was used to alter videos and mislead viewers. Schroepfer said the Deepfake Detection Challenge will include a realistic data set, featuring paid actors, adding that user data from the social network will not be used. Facebook is dedicating over $10 million to fund the industrywide effort, including the funding of research collaboration and prizes for the challenge.

Peter Navarro slams Federal Reserve: 'playing checkers in a chess world'

FOX News

On Fox Nation's "Maria Bartiromo's Insiders", White House trade adviser Peter Navarro pointed the finger at the Federal Reserve amid concerns of a potential U.S. economic recession. "The problem here, the thing that worries me is that we've got a Federal Reserve playing checkers in a chess world," said Navarro. Despite signs of slowing U.S. job growth and global economic uncertainty, Navarro insists that the U.S. economy is "solid", and he blamed the U.S. central bank for failing to properly react to financial moves made by global actors. "In the world of central banking, the Federal Reserve has to pay very close attention to what the European Central Bank is doing and other central banks. If they lower, we have to lower otherwise we lose exports and we slow our growth," said Navarro, adding that the high cost of borrowing is damaging to the U.S. economy.
