Zebra Medical Vision secures 7th FDA clearance for pre-opt AI bone sizing
Israeli MedTech companies have experienced quite the acceleration process following the COVID-19 outbreak, with digital health companies garnering the bulk of the focus. The AI medical train has left the station with companies like Ibex Medical, Aidoc, Scopio, and more all scoring funding and coveted FDA approvals this year. However, in the land of medical-AI FDA clearances, one horse stands alone, or should I say Zebra. Israeli startup Zebra Medical Vision, the deep-learning medical imaging analytics company, announces today its seventh FDA clearance. The newly approved solution utilizes the power of AI to extract bone measurements from X-ray scans, similar in quality to CT scans, for the purpose of planning orthopedic surgical procedures.

Intelerad, Zebra Medical Vision Partner to Accelerate AI Adoption for Radiologists
After expanding its "all-in-one" AI bundle, which includes 3 FDA 510(k) clearances, the deep learning medical imaging analytics company, Zebra Medical Vision, is now announcing a new joint partnership with Intelerad Medical Systems, a leader in enterprise workflow solutions. The joint program will leverage Intelerad's newly released Odyssey designed to encourage the adoption of artificial intelligence without the prohibitive costs usually associated with such programs. The positive impact of artificial intelligence technology has been demonstrated in many fields, including that of radiology. Indeed, AI can help radiologists increase productivity, improve clinical decisions and, ultimately, provide high-quality care when the technology is tightly managed and smartly integrated in the workflow. Odyssey harnesses the power of artificial intelligence and the technology behind the Intelerad worklist to offer an unparalleled workflow management solution, comprised of the clinical AI engine, powered by Zebra-med's AI1 "all-in-one" bundle of FDA cleared AI applications.

Applications for Artificial Intelligence in Cardiovascular Imaging
Artificial intelligence (AI) was by far the hottest trend discussed in sessions and across the expo floor at the world's largest radiology conference, the 2018 Radiological Society Of North America (RSNA). At the meeting in late November, there was an explosion of AI and deep learning algorithms across the expo floor. How machine learning will impact medical imaging was the key takeaway from the opening session, where examples of how AI will alter medical imaging in the near future were highlighted. Here is an overview of the types of AI software being developed and a few examples from RSNA that are specific to cardiovascular imaging. Artificial intelligence has been a growing topic in past years at RSNA, but this year several companies showed products that recently gained U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) market clearance.
