Russian drone attack kills two in Ukraine ahead of talks in US, officials say
Two people were killed in a Russian drone attack on a home in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, local authorities say. Two children, 11 and 15, were also injured in the attack which took place on the eve of new talks between Ukrainian and American negotiators in the US. Negotiations on ending the war have been on hold since the start of the latest conflict in Iran. President Volodymy Zelensky wants his negotiators to discuss the US decision to ease sanctions on Russian oil - implemented by Washington to help keep down global energy prices. Talks mediated by the US have so far failed to stop the fighting in Ukraine or change Russia's demands, and there is little hope of a breakthrough.

Deadly Russian drone attack in Ukraine before next US talks in Saudi Arabia
With the United States set to meet delegations from Russia Ukraine separately in Saudi Arabia on Monday in an ongoing bid to halt the three-year war, Russia has launched a drone attack on Friday night on the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, killing three people and wounding 12, Ukrainian officials said. The city was hit by 12 drones, police said. Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov said residential buildings, cars and communal buildings were set on fire. Photos from the scene showed emergency services scouring the rubble for survivors. Ukraine and Russia agreed this week in principle to a limited ceasefire after US President Donald Trump held separate calls on consecutive days with the countries' leaders, but what actual targets would be off limits to attack remains contentious.

Russia launches another wave of missiles and drones at Ukraine
Russia has launched waves of missile and drone attacks targeting several Ukrainian regions killing at least four people, according to Ukraine's military, a day after it carried out a "massive" attack on Ukraine's power grid. Two people were killed when a hotel was "wiped out" in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, regional officials said on Tuesday. Two more people died in drone attacks on the city of Zaporizhzhia, east of Kryvyi Rih. The Kyiv region's air defence systems were deployed several times overnight to repel missiles and drones targeting Kyiv, the regional military administration said on the Telegram messaging app. Ukrainian air defences shot down about 15 drones and several missiles near the Ukrainian capital during Russia's overnight attack, Serhiy Popko, head of Kyiv's military administration, said on Tuesday morning.

Ukraine says three killed, 13 wounded in Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia
At least three people have been killed after Russia fired five missiles on Ukraine's southern city of Zaporizhzhia, the regional governor said. "What marks today's strikes: first, there were two missile strikes, and then, about 40 minutes later, there were other strikes at the same place – just as rescuers, police started working," Governor Ivan Fedorov said on national television. Thirteen people were wounded, including a nine-year old boy, and four were hospitalised in grave condition. Two journalists were among the wounded. At least three apartment blocks, 10 private houses, shops and an unidentified industrial facility were also damaged, Fedorov said.

Russia sends rocket and drones at Ukrainian apartment building and dorm, killing students and other civilians
Check out what's clicking on Foxnews.com. Russia stepped up its missile and drone attacks against Ukraine on Wednesday, killing students and other civilians, in a violent follow-up to dueling high-level diplomatic missions aimed at bringing peace after 13 months of war. "Russia is shelling the city with bestial savagery," President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote in a Telegram post accompanying video showing what he said was a Russian missile striking a nine-story apartment building on a busy road in the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia. "Residential areas where ordinary people and children live are being fired at." At least one person was killed in the attack shown in the Zaporizhzhia video, apparently recorded by closed circuit TV cameras.
