#artificialintelligence

As AI technology becomes commonplace in many industries around the world, new applications are constantly being found. Web design and building has evolved rapidly in the past two decades, with organisations now able to craft vibrant and intelligent online hubs for whatever they choose. Wix has been at the forefront of this revolution, and is looking to closely combine AI and website building - we spoke to Nitzan Achsaf from Wix to find out more.... Quick creation is done since the machine learning models are already built, so you just need to run them on user inputs, and that's instantaneously. Unique output happen since the amount of permutations, between business types, text, fonts, colors, layouts, section types, number of section on page, and more are enormous. Watch out designers: AI design bots are getting better at building websites

#artificialintelligence

The first attempts by startups using artificial intelligence to design websites haven't amounted to much. A much-anticipated company called The Grid has failed to deliver on expectations. There is still no AI art hanging in MOMA yet. Instead of building more clever bots, startups like Wix are mining troves of user data to train algorithms that offer sound design advice for business websites. Website building platforms are experimenting with AI as part of the future of design.

Can You Teach AI To Design? Wix Thinks So

There are myriad services that make designing a website very easy, like Squarespace, Adobe Portfolio, and Google's Material Design Lite. But Wix, the website builder with 85 million users, wants to go one step further than its competitors--with an artificially intelligent design service based on carefully honed machine learning models. "How do you make something complex, like building a site, trivial for a user?" asks Nitzan Achsaf, the head of Wix Advanced Design Intelligence, or ADI. "When we talked to our users, we learned that the two main problems they faced are how to write great content and how to actually design a website so it looks beautiful." The ADI technology works like a virtual graphic designer.

While companies such as Squarespace Inc. or Weebly Inc. will help you craft an attractive modern website, it's still up to the user to create the content. Wouldn't it be faster if an artificial intelligence could write it for you? Israel's Wix.com Ltd. announced Tuesday it's enabling a technology to do just that. It's baking an AI into its web development platform that trawls the open internet for person-specific information to create a unique, individual website with images, video and text. Pages can be expanded to include e-commerce elements, blogs or appointment bookings.

Wix to use artificial intelligence to improve DIY website creation

Wix.com, the Nasdaq-listed, Tel Aviv-based do-it-yourself website development company, will start selling a new platform that will use artificial intelligence to ensure the website completely meets the requirements of the builder. Based on data gathered from the experiences of more than 86 million users, Wix has created a set of algorithms that are meant to churn out the best website for the users' needs, after first learning about the users through a few simple questions, the company said in a statement. "Wix ADI is the world's first technology platform that combines website design and content creation with artificial intelligence to enable complete websites to be created in a matter of minutes," said Avishai Abrahami, co-founder and CEO of Wix.com, in the statement. Artificial intelligence refers to the use of technology by a computer to do or copy cognitive functions like learning or problem solving, typically performed by a human brain. By asking users what they need, Wix's new website platform can tailor the website, making sure the layout, text and images it proposes will best suit the site's needs based on its knowledge of the user's business and location.

The frustration of building a website has eased over the years with the assistance of third-party tools, but putting together a well-crafted site still remains challenge for many small business owners and hopefuls trying to brand new companies. Since 2006, tools such as those developed by Wix.com (WIX) have saved many computers from flying out of frustrated site builders' windows, and its latest, artificial intelligence-backed version has analysts excited. Since the announcement of this new product earlier this week, shares of Wix have risen 3.7% to 29.14. So far this year, Wix shares are up 20%. Analysts are encouraged by the rigorous roll-out of the new web-building tool ADI, or artificial design intelligence, that was detailed at an analyst's day early Thursday.
