The perfect pool duo for summer: Aiper's Scuba X1 and Surfer S2 team up for a top-to-bottom clean

PCWorld

Robotic pool cleaners have revolutionized pool care, eliminating the back-breaking routine of manual vacuuming, scrubbing, and brushing. Today's models don't just clean -- they maintain a consistently pristine pool with minimal human effort. Technology in this space has advanced rapidly. The newest generation offers greater efficiency, longer runtimes, and pinpoint navigation for faster, more thorough results. Two standout examples are Aiper's Scuba X1 and Surfer S2, designed to work together for a complete, floor-to-surface clean.

Wybot S2 Solar Vision review: Same bot, new battery-charging option

PCWorld

A solar-powered pool robot sounds like a perfect cleaning solution, but it turns out the sun can provide only so much juice in a day. The dream of every swimming pool owner is that some device will come along that will clean the pool without requiring much--or any--interaction. Pump-powered robots are obtrusive and unsightly thanks to their snaking cables. Battery-powered robots must be manually retrieved after a few hours, cleaned out, and recharged. The holy grail remains elusive. With its S2 Solar Vision, Wybot takes at least one baby step in the right direction, outfitting a modified version of its existing Wybot S2 robot with a solar-powered docking and charging station.

iGarden Pool Cleaner K60 review: An underwater marathoner

PCWorld

This is a review of two pool robots, one which is the most exceptional cleaning device I've tested to date, and one that's maddeningly frustrating and overly complex. You've probably already figured out the twist: Yes, they are same device, the iGarden Pool Cleaner K60. To start things off, just look at the thing: With its jet-black chassis and orange-trimmed wheels, the machine looks more like a sports car than a glorified leaf sweeper. Despite the evocative look, it still moves about courtesy of large wheels and treads that abut a pair of spinning scrubber. Its biggest selling point is under the hood: A fairly beefy 7500mAh battery powers the 30-pound robot to an epic running time of up to 6 hours, according to iGarden.

Airrobo PC10 robotic pool cleaner review: An effective low-budget cleaning option

PCWorld

This robotic pool cleaner has no smart features and offers slightly limited performance; but you might not find anything as capable at this very low price. Sometimes there's a place for simplicity in and around the home, and pool owners who only need the absolute basics might want to give the affordably priced Airrobo PC10 a look for handling their pool-cleaning duties. Airrobo manufactures robot vacuum cleaners primarily; the PC10 and the similarly priced PC200 Lite are its only forays into pool-cleaning tech. This robotic pool cleaner certainly looks the part, weighing in at 22 pounds and featuring the tread-based design and central, scrubbing rollers that are typical of higher-end cleaners. Powered by a modest 5200mAh battery, the PC10 offers two hours of running time and a specified maximum coverage area of 1,076 square feet–roughly double the surface area of my pool's floor (not including its walls).

Mammotion adds a robotic pool cleaner to its product line

PCWorld

Mammotion, a major player in the robot lawn mower market, is expanding its product line to include its first robotic pool cleaner. The all-new Mammotion Spino E1 is designed to clean the floor, walls, and waterline of mid-sized pools--up to 1,614 square feet--with four hours of runtime on its 6,000mAh lithium battery. While the bot it out of the water, users will be able to use the Mammotion app to check the bot's battery level and choose its cleaning mode: All, Floor Only, Wall Only, Max, or Eco (a maintenance mode). When the robot has finished its assigned task, it will park itself at the waterline for easy retrieval. The robotic pool cleaner is equipped with twin brushless drive motors and a third motor that produces suction of up to 5,800 gallons per hour.

Dreame Z1 Pro pool robot review: Rocky start but a happy ending

PCWorld

With pool-mapping capabilities and other smart features, the Dreame Z1 Pro is one of the most intelligent robots I've tested to date. From the start, Dreame's Z1 Pro robotic pool cleaner certainly seems to check off all the boxes. Its features list touts just about everything: The ability to clean floor, walls, and waterline. I'm not sure what the touted "Triple Surround Fusion Perception System" is, but that sounds good, too. I'll start with what I liked the most: After unboxing, I discovered that the 27-pound robot offers one of the most convenient charging systems I've seen to date, thanks to a magnetic charging mechanism that simply snaps onto the device's chassis, with no plugs or rubber gaskets involved--and no need to hoist the robot onto a bulky charging station, either.

Fanttik Aero X review: This robotic pool cleaner is an underwater monster

PCWorld

The Fanttik Aero X robotic pool cleaner runs fast and runs long: With six hours of running time and top-notch cleaning power, the device makes short work of underwater debris. In a world dominated by bulbous black-and-blue hardware, the Fanttik Aero X pool robot immediately caught my eye. It's not just that it's black and yellow, it's that the industrial design looks more like a lawn mower than any pool robot I've tested. It has much smaller front wheels than usual, and an exposed rubber drive belt that connects them to its motor. The forward-center brush cylinder is even reminiscent of the front of a lawn mower.

The Aiper Scuba X1, priced at 1,399, is an ideal solution to help get your pool ready for action. Dreame's latest pool cleaner can detect the shape of your pool

PCWorld

Dreame is making a splash at CES this year with a new pool cleaner that's smart enough to gauge the shape of your pool before it dives in for a cleaning, along with a robot vacuum with retractable, obstacle-climbing legs. Slated to ship in March, the Z1 Pro robotic pool cleaner boasts Dreame's PoolSense technology, which intelligently recognizes pool shapes and adjusts its cleaning strategy for optimal results. With 8,000 GPH suction power and dual brush technology, the Z1 Pro promises thorough cleaning, removing debris from floors, walls, and waterlines. The Z1 Pro's LiFi Control System utilizes optical communication to offer precise control over cleaning patterns and paths. Dreame says its horizontal waterline cleaning technology is now 50 percent more efficient than in previous models, while the Auto Poolside Parking feature simplifies retrieval.
