Google may integrate AI text-to-image generator to Gboard for Android
Google is expected to introduce a host of AI features for its products in the near future, and among them, Gboard for Android is working to integrate the Imagen text-to-image generator, the media reported. In a recent APK (Android Package Kit) teardown, conducted by 9to5Google, the latest beta version of Gboard -- contains lines of code that mention an "Imagen Keyboard". This Imagen feature will appear in the shortcuts strip/page, like Clipboard, Translate, and One-handed. For people who are unfamiliar with Imagen, it is similar to the popular text-to-image generator DALL-E 2 -- which is owned by ChatGPT creator OpenAI. It is capable of creating images based on the request users submit to it, according to the report. However, Google's research found that more people preferred Imagen's results over DALL-E's.
Teardown's campaign now complete with flamethrowing robots and tornadoes
Teardown is a chaotic, destructive sandbox and a great puzzle game. From launch the game found a sizeable and dedicated player base that loves experimenting with its collapsible environments, a side of the game that the newly released Part 2 update leans into: It basically goes full Garry's mod, with rocket-boosters and wire-propelled catapults. This release is marked '0.9', as Teardown ostensibly remains an Early Access game, and contains the second half of the game's campaign. "We are pleased to bring you an update packed to the brim with exciting stuff," writes the developer in a post accompanying the release. As you can see in the above video, these ED-209-like robots stomp about with flamethrowers and machine guns, but can also be tossed about in various amusing ways: picked up by a crane; tossed into the sea by a nearby explosion; run over by a tank.

New Google Assistant settings, 'Ok Google' driving commands found in Google app beta code
Google's app factory is going into overdrive, readying several new features that empower Google Now and the company's upcoming digital assistant. The new features are hinted at in the code of the latest beta version of the Google app, which now powers all of the company's search and artificial intelligence services on Android. From the Google assistant to more voice commands, your phone is about to get far more proactive and predictive at serving as your aide. These features will be necessary for features like Android Auto on your phone and the assistant features of Google Allo. While a few hints of the Google Assistant showed up in a previous build, there's a lot more to be found in version 6.2 of the Google app beta (coming to the Play Store or now on APK Mirror). It looks like a combination of ways you can tweak the type of information that you get and can search for.
