Tachyum Signs Memorandum of Understanding with KInIT

Tachyum announced it has entered into an agreement with Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies (KInIT) in Slovakia to collaborate on scientific research and innovations in artificial intelligence (AI); initiate scientific and commercial cooperation on matters of common interest; develop cooperation in the field of commercialization of scientific knowledge and intellectual property; and seek collaboration in the field of AI research and its transfer into industrial technology. KInIT is an independent non-profit research institute with a mission to connect industry with excellent science. KInIT is focused on intelligent technologies, artificial intelligence in particular. It brings together and nurtures experts in artificial intelligence and other areas of computer science, with connections to other disciplines. By partnering with private companies like Tachyum, KInIT aims to create a healthy research ecosystem that connects academia, private organizations, public sector and above all the international community.


Tachyum Opens US, EU and NATO Government Business Unit

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 8, 2020 -- Tachyum Inc.announced it is opening a business unit to serve U.S., EU and NATO member government customers of its Prodigy Universal Processor for demanding HPC, artificial intelligence and machine learning workloads. Although the company's primary market is hyperscale data centers, Tachyum's CEO Dr. Rado Danilak recognized that government agencies – notably military and intelligence – are early adopters of Prodigy. Its ultra-low-power, ultra-high-performance enables and vastly improves next-generation defense systems such as unmanned aircraft and underwater systems, cybersecurity, communications, analytics, and more. Prodigy's "unique attributes set the conditions to create a computing architecture fully aligned with the operational and strategic imperatives of our national strategy," said retired Army Lieutenant General Richard Zahner. He is a career electronic intelligence specialist who headed signals intelligence at the National Security Agency (NSA) and ended his career as Army deputy chief of staff for intelligence.


Tachyum Shows Prodigy Running Existing x86, ARM, and RISC-V Software

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 4, 2020 – Tachyum Inc. announced that its Prodigy Universal Processor has successfully completed software emulation testing across x86, ARM and RISC-V binary environments. This important milestone demonstrates that Prodigy will enable customers to run their legacy applications transparently at launch with better performance than any contemporary or future ARM or RISC-V processors. Coupled with hyperscale data center workhorse programs such as Hadoop, Apache and more, which Tachyum is recompiling to Prodigy native code, this capability will ensure that Prodigy customers can run a broad spectrum of applications, right out of the box. Tachyum customers consistently indicate that they would run 100% native applications within 9-18 months of transitioning to the Tachyum platform to exceed performance of the fastest Xeon processor. The emulation is to smoothly transition to native software for Tachyum Prodigy.
