Rocksteady delays 'Suicide Squad' game to 2023
You'll have to wait a while longer to slay Superman. Rocksteady Studios has delayed Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League from sometime in 2022 to spring 2023. Company co-founder Sefton Hill didn't explain the decision, but promised the extra time would be used to "make the best game" possible. The title has Harley Quinn, King Shark and other Suicide Squad villians fight mind-controlled superheroes like Superman and The Flash as they cause chaos. Rocksteady hasn't shown gameplay, but Kill the Justice League will be available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The Ridiculous "Justice League" Could Have Been So Much Worse
"Justice League" opens in theaters today.Courtesy of Warner Brothers. Once upon a time, in the long long ago, this bad guy from a lava planet comes to Earth with these three magic boxes and tries to turn our pretty blue marble into a red marble, but is defeated by some people who live in the sea (Atlanteans), some warrior women who live on an island (Amazons), and "the tribes of man" (you, me and the bourgeoisie). The bad man escapes and loses these three precious boxes he really adores. One goes under the sea, one goes to the island, and then the humans bury one in some ditch in a forest. Are you still with me?
Surprise! 'Fantastic Beasts' and 'Suicide Squad' now both have Oscars
Science fiction and fantasy movies haven't always fared well at the Academy Awards, but within minutes of each other, Suicide Squad and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them won Oscars for makeup and costume design, respectively. These are big -- and confusing -- wins for Warner Bros. and fans of both DC's comic books and Harry Potter. After Suicide Squad's Creative Failure, Is DC Giving 'Gotham' And 'Arrow' More Leeway?
It's the new year, and TV shows are starting to finally filter back to the airwaves, including Gotham last night. While fansites have been reporting this for a while now, it was the first time that I realized that the show was actually bringing back Cameron Monaghan's Jerome, the show's "proto-Joker" that was (spoilers) killed off anti-climactically in a frankly fantastic arc that seemed oddly short, given the caliber of the performance and the importance of Joker to the entire Batman universe. But now Jerome is back, at least for another few-episode arc. Gotham has crafted a new plotline where despite Jerome's death, a cult is trying to resurrect his corpse Frankenstein-style so he can come back and wreak more havoc in Gotham. I do not believe the timing of this is coincidental.
