Tree of Problems: Improving structured problem solving with compositionality
Zebaze, Armel, Sagot, Benoît, Bawden, Rachel
Large Language Models (LLMs) have demonstrated remarkable performance across multiple tasks through in-context learning. For complex reasoning tasks that require step-by-step thinking, Chain-of-Thought (CoT) prompting has given impressive results, especially when combined with self-consistency. Nonetheless, some tasks remain particularly difficult for LLMs to solve. Tree of Thoughts (ToT) and Graph of Thoughts (GoT) emerged as alternatives, dividing the complex problem into paths of subproblems. In this paper, we propose Tree of Problems (ToP), a simpler version of ToT, which we hypothesise can work better for complex tasks that can be divided into identical subtasks. Our empirical results show that our approach outperforms ToT and GoT, and in addition performs better than CoT on complex reasoning tasks. NASA photos show incredible moment Orion splashed back down to Earth
NASA has shared new photos of the incredible moment the Orion space capsule returned to Earth after flying around the moon. The unmanned Orion capsule splashed down in the Pacific Ocean, west of Baja California, at 09:40 PST (17:40 GMT) on Sunday. Since its launch in mid-November, it has travelled more than 1.4 million miles on a path around the moon and back to Earth. The images show before and after the historic point of impact, which marks the first part of Artemis – NASA's successor to the Apollo programme in the 1960s and 1970s. Ex Machina: Ava The Final Girl
After I watched Men, I went to see what others had to say about it, and the first place I went to was a recorded conversion about the film on Diregentleman's channel. Toward the end of the conversation, Henry Galley says Men further diminished Garland's previous two films. Personally, I didn't get that in regards to Annihilation, but Ex Machina, on the other hand, I hadn't seen before. I did not watch Garland's directorial debut in 2014. And my reason is that I have been obsessed with pop culture about robotic A.I. ever since I was a kid from Astro Boy (circa.

Shaun the Sheep will join NASA's Artemis 1 flight to the Moon
NASA's Artemis 1 test flight dummy will have company on its flight to the Moon. On Tuesday, the European Space Agency (ESA) announced that Shaun the Sheep will join the unmanned mission when it hopefully takes off later this year. With the announcement, Aardman's beloved character will technically become the first ESA astronaut to participate in the Artemis program. "This is an exciting time for Shaun and for us at ESA," ESA Director for Human and Robotic Exploration David Parker said. "We're woolly very happy that he's been selected for the mission and we understand that, although it might be a small step for a human, it's a giant leap for lambkind."

The Fast Pace of Facial Recognition Innovation - ReadWrite
Facial recognition technology has finally begun to enter the science fiction landscape we had all dreamt it would soon do. This change in pace is attributed to the significant advances in machine learning, resilient ODM (original design manufacturer) competition and increases in processing power that will forever democratize and commoditize facial recognition technology. When we consider the applications of this core technology, it is essential also to understand the positive consequences of implementing facial recognition for non-conspicuous use cases. To get further insights on this matter, I sat down with Shaun Moore and Nezare Chafni the founders of TrueFace.ai. With such technical advancements in facial recognition has its integration into products become more straightforward?
