SteamWorld Build review – tinker with a tiny township full of robots in hats
I'm building a farm for robocows, which will be made into roboburgers to feed a population of steam-powered humanoid robots. None of this makes sense, but who cares. Games in this charming robopunk series have always placed characterful quirkiness above realism, and they're all the better for it. SteamWorld has a history of swapping genres, with the steambots going from space shootouts in one game to fantasy role-playing in the next. This time around we're served a hybrid of city-builder and dungeon-crawler.
'RoboBurger' VENDING MACHINE opens in New Jersey, serving up fresh patties in six minutes for $6.99
From cupcakes to pizzas, a range of weird and wondering vending machines have opened in recent years. Now, a burger vending machine has opened in Jersey City, serving up fresh burgers in six minutes for just $6.99 (£5.30). Its developers describe the vending machine as a'restaurant in miniature', and say it follows a similar process to what chefs use to cook up burgers in traditional restaurants. 'RoboBurger is like having a personal chef for 6 minutes, that dedicates all its attention to making your burger, with the perfectly grilled patty, and a crispy, fresh toasted bun,' they said. Would you eat a burger made in a vending machine? People in New Jersey are
"Hello Human," says the glowing screen of RoboBurger in a Jersey City mall. RoboBurger is advertised as "the world's first burger robot in a box." It is essentially a burger vending machine -- or as co-founder Dan Braido puts it, "a whole kitchen shoved into 12-square feet." The touch screen at Newport Centre Mall allows customers to order a classic burger with ketchup, mustard and cheese, or customize the burger to remove any of those ingredients if you choose. The burger is made in about six minutes and costs $6.99; the machine accepts card, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
