DSC Weekly 7 February 2023 - Machine Learning Controversy: From No-Code to No-Math - DataScienceCentral.com

#artificialintelligence

One controversial topic in machine learning circles is code versus no-code. Can you be a real data scientist if you don't code? Of course you can: You may be leveraging platforms and the code is one or two layers below the responsibilities of your job. Maybe you managed to automate coding or outsource that part. It does not mean you don't know how to code. Indeed, with tools like ChatGPT, the future may be less coding rather than more.

'No-Code' Brings the Power of A.I. to the Masses

#artificialintelligence

Mr. Cusack is part of a growing army of "citizen developers," who use new products that allow anyone to apply artificial intelligence without having to write a line of computer code. Proponents of the "no-code" A.I. revolution believe it will change the world: It used to require a team of engineers to build a piece of software, and now users with a web browser and an idea have the power to bring that idea to life themselves. "We are trying to take A.I. and make it ridiculously easy," said Craig Wisneski, a no-code evangelist and co-founder of Akkio, a start-up that allows anyone to make predictions using data. A.I. is following a familiar progression. "First, it's used by a small core of scientists," Jonathan Reilly, Akkio's other co-founder, said.

When The Rise Of AI Meets The Ease Of No-Code - AI Summary

#artificialintelligence

We’re in the third generation: predictive analytics. People can use AI to find patterns in their data and predict what’s coming next. This latest step in AI analytics has brought new challenges. We’ve seen a new category of tools to help data analysts use machine learning without writing code.

Council Post: When The Rise Of AI Meets The Ease Of No-Code

Cofounder & CEO at Obviously AI, a no-code AI tool that empowers businesses to build industry-leading predictive analytics models. Not too long ago, professional web designers wouldn't dream of using a no-code website builder--if you didn't personally write each line of HTML and CSS, could you really call yourself a real designer? Today, many professional web designers have enthusiastically embraced no-code solutions, using them to get more done in less time without sacrificing quality. Similarly, we're now seeing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tools combined with the ease of no-code platforms. These new solutions are changing the way we use data and opening up exciting possibilities for all sorts of businesses.

SkyCube: A Free "No-code" Machine Learning Platform

#artificialintelligence

SkyCube is designed to be a machine learning platform where users can easily conduct experiments on their structured data without a single line of coding. In the next few sections, we will explain the four distinctive advantages of SkyCube. The barrier of entry into machine learning is always the need for coding knowledge, especially painful to people who have limited programming experience. Therefore, we have designed a graphical user interface (GUI) in order to explore machine learning visually, from data exploration and feature engineering to model training and prediction. "You are free from any coding by enjoying the user-friendly interface provided by SkyCube throughout the whole machine learning experiment" Data Privacy is highly valued and respected when we design SkyCube.

No-Code, Low-Code Machine Learning Platforms Still Require People

#artificialintelligence

No-code, low-code (horizontal) machine learning platforms are useful at scaling data science in an enterprise. Still, as many organizations are now finding out, there are so many ways that data science can go wrong in solving new problems. Zillow experienced billions of dollars in losses buying houses using a flawed data-driven home valuation model. Data-driven human resources technology, especially when based off facial recognition software, has been shown to bias hiring decisions against protected classes. While automation is a great tool to have in your arsenal, you need to consider the challenges before utilizing a horizontal ML platform.

No-code IT/OT convergence with an Industrial IoT hub

#artificialintelligence

It's one thing to have sensors, it's another to extract value from them. As businesses across all sectors take their first steps toward Industrial IoT and edge computing solutions, extracting machine/sensor data and making it available for things like predictive maintenance and condition-based monitoring can prove challenging. The gap between OT and IT is widest at the edge – factories, oil rigs, wind farms, water treatment plants and more. In this webinar, we'll explain how an IIoT edge hub bridges the gap by collecting, parsing and storing machine/sensor data, and making it accessible via standard protocols such as MQTT and SQL – all without the need to write a single line of code. Machine Learning with No-Code

#artificialintelligence

AI is a subdomain of Machine Learning (ML). The focus of AI or ML requires math and programming. No-Code options for creating an AI based solution have increased and are in the mainstream within several Microsoft products. No-Code tools provide a graphical interface that provide the same quality solution as scripting in Python. Machine learning is a technique that uses mathematics and statistics to create a model that can predict unknown values.
