Reinforcement Learning has the limitation that problems become too large very quickly. Dividing the problem into a hierarchy of subtasks allows for a strategy of divide and conquer, which is what makes Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning (HRL) algorithms often more efficient at finding solutions quicker than more naive approaches. One of the biggest challenges with HRL is the construction of a hierarchy to be used by the algorithm. Hierarchies are often designed by a person using their own knowledge of the problem. We propose method for automatically discovering task hierarchies based on a data mining technique, Association Rule Learning (ARL).
The Venezuelans Trying to Escape Their Country Through Video Game Grunt Work
On a recent afternoon in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Alexander Marinez, who has short-cropped black hair and three-to-four-day stubble, sat in front of his computer tracking herbiboars in the mushroom forests on Fossil Island. He pressed down on his glowing mouse, the newest addition to his otherwise timeworn gaming setup. The pixelated character on his computer screen followed the tracks of a hedgehoglike creature with triangular tusks and herbs growing out of its back. Outside Marinez's one-story house, the sun bore down on the dirt road. His home lies about six miles away from the strait that connects the Caribbean Sea with Lake Maracaibo, one of the world's richest sources of oil. The character inspected a tunnel. Suddenly, the herbiboar appeared, and the character attacked, stunning it.

How well does surprisal explain N400 amplitude under different experimental conditions?
Michaelov, James A., Bergen, Benjamin K.
We investigate the extent to which word surprisal can be used to predict a neural measure of human language processing difficulty - the N400. To do this, we use recurrent neural networks to calculate the surprisal of stimuli from previously published neurolinguistic studies of the N400. We find that surprisal can predict N400 amplitude in a wide range of cases, and the cases where it cannot do so provide valuable insight into the neurocognitive processes underlying the response.

'Mr. Robot' Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 9 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In '7imit5.fve'?
Robot" Season 2 was a major one for Darlene, played by Carly Chaikin. Handling Fsociety while Elliot (Rami Malek) is in jail is already a big responsibility, but her personal limitations were tested in episode 8, "succ3ss0r.p12." Darlene was able to fulfill a long-time dream. In the episode, it was revealed that Darlene had long had the desire to put an end to the life of Susan Jacobs (Sandrine Holt), E Corp's legal counsel. She was able to finally realize it, although it surprised her because she always thought that she would hold back when the time finally comes. By the end of the episode, Darlene appeared to have committed another murder. After finding out that her on-and-off boyfriend Cisco (Michael Drayer) was setting her up for the Dark Army, she destroyed his laptop and bashed his head with a baseball bat. Speaking of the development, Chaikin told A.V. Club that the thing disturbing her character the most is the fact that she does not feel remorse over the things she did. "It's a testament to the place she's in right now, of on one hand having everything to lose, but on the other hand nothing to lose at this point, and just getting deeper and deeper into this hole she's dug herself into," the actress added. The episode was big for Mobley (Azhar Khan) and Trenton (Sunita Mani), too. Mobley was called in by the FBI and questioned by Dom (Grace Gummer) for his knowledge about the 9/5 hack. After getting off the hook, he told Trenton to meet him, but he didn't show up. In the upcoming episode, titled "7imit5.fve," Elliot will finally get out of jail, Darlene will loop him in on what has been happening and Angela (Portia Doubleday) will continue to find her place in E Corp. Here is what fans can expect to see on "Mr.
