Burnt Hair and Soft Power: A Night Out With Evie Magazine
Evie is a longtime favorite of far-right. At its very first live event, the strength of the publication's politics was in the pretense that it doesn't have any. Just after 8:00 pm on Sunday night, Evie Magazine's first live event was finally getting started. The women's magazine, which was founded in 2019 and once described itself as a " conservative Cosmo," welcomed eager fans to celebrate the publication, generally, and its new issue, specifically, during New York Fashion Week at the Standard Hotel's Boom in Chelsea. Guests lined up outside, hugging fur coats around formal dresses, as hosts scanned a list for their names. One blonde woman begged for access to the VIP section; an event planner ran downstairs to tell her coworkers that someone's hair had caught on fire.

That's the way graphics ought to be' We asked what an AI gaming GPU would look like in the future. Love or hate it, upscaling technology like Nvidia's DLSS have expanded the definition around gaming performance. And while hardware enthusiasts still want to know what to expect for raster performance, free of any software tricks, we'll have to wait a while longer for a definitive answer.

AMD unveils Ryzen AI Halo, an uber-powerful mini PC for AI
PCWorld reports that AMD unveiled the Ryzen AI Halo, a powerful mini PC developer platform designed for running large AI models locally. The device features AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ processor with 128GB of unified memory, multiple operating system support, and advanced ROCm software for AI development. Expected to launch in the second quarter of this year, the Ryzen AI Halo represents AMD's strategic push into AI development tools. AMD may not be selling PCs, but it's providing a reference design to AI developers based on its Ryzen AI Max+ processor. Known as the Ryzan AI Halo, the small PC is an officially an AI developer platform capable of running models with up to 200 billion parameters locally, according to AMD chief executive Lisa Su, who introduced the device in her opening keynote for the CES 2026 show here in Las Vegas. Inside is 128GB of unified memory, Su said. It's not necessarily a Windows device; Su said that it will run "multiple operating systems natively," as well as open-source development tools and hundreds of AI models. It wil ship with the most advanced version of AMD's ROCm software. "For all of you who are wondering, Halo is launching in the second quarter of this year, and we can't wait for folks to get their hands on them," Su said.

An industrial robotics company enters the robot lawn mower market
When you purchase through links in our articles, we may earn a small commission. Unveiled at CES under the new Goko brand, the consumer-focused M6 borrows engineering from RobotPlusPlus's industrial robots to tackle steep inclines, rough terrain, and large lawns. Known primarily for robots that scale steel structures and automate hazardous industrial maintenance, RobotPlusPlus is at CES this week trying something new: a robot lawn mower for everyday consumers. Developed with the same engineering used in industrial surface-climbing robots, the flagship M6 is designed to handle real-world residential terrain, including steep slopes, uneven ground, and large lawn areas. The company claims the unit can traverse inclines up to 90 percent and clear obstacles as high as 75 mm (2.6 inches), capabilities uncommon among consumer-grade mowers.

Becoming a Centenarian
Like The New Yorker, I was born in 1925. Somewhat to my surprise, I decided to keep a journal of my hundredth year. The author, who was born on December 17, 1925, notes that the magazine's first issue came out ten months before he did. Old age is no joke, but it can feel like one. You look everywhere for your glasses, until your wife points out that you're wearing them. I turn a hundred this year. People act as though this is an achievement, and I suppose it is, sort of. Nobody in my family has lived this long, and I've been lucky. I'm still in pretty good health, no wasting diseases or Alzheimer's, and friends and strangers comment on how young I look, which cues me to cite the three ages of man: Youth, Maturity, and You Look Great. On the other hand, I've lost so many useful abilities that my wife, Dodie, and I have taken to calling me Feebleman. Look, up in the sky! No, it's Dodie doesn't want me to know how old she is, but she's nearly three decades younger than I am, and I become ...
