New Orleans nonprofit runs largest network of community crime cameras
With fewer officers on the streets, a Louisiana nonprofit is using security cameras to put more eyes on high-crime areas. NEW ORLEANS – In a two-story building at the University of New Orleans, over 10,000 video feeds from communities across the country are streaming at the speed of light. A small staff is watching these feeds, studying gang members and tracking drug deals in small towns and major cities. It's called Project NOLA, the largest network of community crime cameras in the U.S., and the only nonprofit in the security industry. "Just like the Red Cross and CrimeStoppers, we are in the business of helping people," said Executive Director Bryan Lagarde.

What Is The "Great Reset" And What Do The Globalists Actually Want?
I first heard the phrase "Great Reset" way back in 2014. Christine Lagarde, who was head of the IMF at the time, was suddenly becoming very vocal about global centralization. It was an agenda that was generally only whispered about in the dark corners of institutional white papers and the secretive meetings of banking elites, but now these people were becoming rather loud about it. Lagarde was doing a Q&A at the World Economic Forum and the notion of the "Reset" was very deliberately brought up; what the project entailed was vague, but the basic root of it was a dramatic shift away from the current economic, social and political models of the world into a globally centralized and integrated system – A "New World Order," if you will… It's important to remember that we had just jumped through the fires of an international credit collapse which started in 2008 and had continued to cause uncertainty in markets for years. The central banks had dumped tens of trillions of dollars worth of stimulus into the system just to keep it on life support.

IMF warns of giant tech firms' dominance
Giant technology companies might cause significant disruption to the world's financial system, the head of the International Monetary Fund has warned. Christine Lagarde said just a few firms with big data access and artificial intelligence could run the global payment and settlement arrangements. Her warning came as the G20 finance ministers met in Japan. The summit is also discussing the need to close tax loopholes for internet giants like Facebook and Google. One of the options being considered is to tax such companies where they make their profits - rather than where they base their headquarters.

Global Big Data Conference
Commercial drone leader Delair today announced the public availability of its drone data platform that uses artificial intelligence to automate the collection and analysis of aerial information. The development of Delair Aerial Intelligence has been an evolution of sorts for the company, as the platform was initially created for internal use. Over time, Delair has transformed itself from being primarily a seller of drones to also delivering software and services. "This will extract useful insight out of masses of data," said CEO Michael de Lagarde. "It's very important to provide these industries with an end-to-end solution that really solves a use case. That is what gives a lot of added value to the customer."

World Factory 2.0: Will China Become Global Artificial Intelligence Trainer?
However, to adjust the automatic training, the data must be entered manually and it's a monotonous process that requires low-cost labor. Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the IMF, has made a frightening forecast at the Bloomberg Global Business forum in New York. An IMF study says that in the near future 26 million jobs will be replaced by artificial intelligence. According to Lagarde, the most vulnerable group is women as they are mainly engaged in areas requiring monotonous and precise work. One new profession that's already being actively learned around the world, and especially in China, is that of data labeling.

How Congress can be productive
If a quiet theme can be found in Washington's debates over taxes, trade, budgets, and regulations, it is the difficulty of settling on actions that will bring back the high productivity that the United States enjoyed just 20 years ago. Productivity growth, or a rising output per worker, has slowed, as it has in much of the world, reducing living standards. What can bring it back? The first step is for elected leaders to focus on ways to foster innovation, such as investments in education, infrastructure, and research. One model for such a singular political focus is New Zealand.
