The best wireless surround sound systems in 2025, tested and reviewed
We may earn revenue from the products available on this page and participate in affiliate programs. A wireless soundbar can change the entire feel of your home theater. No matter what kind of content you consume, sound quality makes a world of difference, and these wireless systems allow for impeccable quality without pro installation. Most systems include a soundbar as well as satellite speakers and a subwoofer, all of which communicate wirelessly with no delay. We've tested some of the most popular and powerful wireless soundbars and systems on the market and came up with these recommendations for any type of viewer. Still, the Samsung HW-990F reigns as the best overall wireless soundbar, but the competition gets closer all the time. I [Markkus Rovito] have previewed and reviewed products--both in the pro audio and home audio realms--on and off throughout most of the 21st century for outlets including Mix, Maximum Tech, DJ Tech Tools, Bob Vila, and some defunct publications printed on paper called magazines. Between the PopSci staff [Stan Horaczek, Tony Ware, Brandt Ranj], we've tested variations of these wireless surround sound systems firsthand. Beyond our own favorable experiences, these wireless surround sound systems have all proved popular with expert reviewers. Each of these systems offers something a little different from the others, but they all include rear satellite speakers because we wanted to limit this list to systems that actually surround you with speakers.

The best Klipsch speakers in 2024, tested and reviewed
We may earn revenue from the products available on this page and participate in affiliate programs. Klipsch speakers have impressed the audio world since the company's inception in 1946, and the tradition of continually releasing innovative hardware has continued for the past 78 years. In recent years, Klipsch has branched out from passive floorstanding speakers--like our best overall, the RP-8000F--into making powered bookshelf speakers and portable Bluetooth speakers. The company's attention to high-energy acoustics and dual focus on both audio quality and value have helped it stand out even with increased competition from both new and legacy speaker makers. The best Klipsch speakers will extract all the dynamic details of your music, movies, and video games at home and on the go.

Klipsch Announces True Wireless Earphones With Artificial Intelligence
The new Klipsch T5II ANC earphones use AI for a seamless experience with advanced gestures. Klipsch T5 II ANC earbuds use Bragi AI to let you answer calls by nodding
Klipsch's redesigned T5 II true wireless earbuds are a big improvement over the T5 that debuted in 2019. However, the company's 2020 models didn't offer active noise cancellation (ANC) and only the pricier Sport version had wireless charging. Today, Klipsch is making both of those standard features with the T5 II ANC, plus it's throwing in AI-powered features from true wireless pioneer Bragi and Dirac HD Sound. All of the additions make this model a true flagship, right down to the premium price of $299. The T5 II ANC has the same design for both the earbuds and the case as the T5 II.

One of Klipsch's Google Speakers Is Half Off Right Now
When it comes to smart assistants, we like Google Assistant over Amazon's Alexa here at WIRED. It's easier to set up and is just better at answering voice questions, hands-free. A growing number of smart speakers and smart displays support it, too. It was $574 and dropped down to $300 around March. Now it's the lowest we've seen, and the Amazon price is about $150 cheaper than other major retailers like B&H.
Klipsch speakers are getting Alexa and Google Assistant voice control
Voice control was all the rage at CES 2017 and this year's show appears to continue the trend. This time, another big name in audio is getting into the game: Klipsch. The company will have options for both Alexa and Google Assistant, so you'll have some choice when it comes to the new feature and new audio gear. For Alexa integration, Klipsch is employing Amazon's Connected Speaker APIs to enable you to control its speakers with commands spoken to any device equipped with the virtual assistant -- like the Echo or Echo Dot. Any of Klipsch's Stream wireless multi-room speakers can take advantage, including Reference RSB-14 and RSB-8 sound bars, the Three Heritage wireless speaker, RW-1 wireless speaker and both the Gate and PowerGate amps.
