Liberals are catalysts to catastrophe, again
Yoav Litvin is an Israeli-American doctor of psychology/neuroscience, a writer and photographer. On September 17, the late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel was suspended after remarks he made about the death of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk. Days later, he was reinstated following liberal upheaval. In his first appearance back on air, Kimmel read US President Donald Trump's post on Truth Social: "I can't believe ABC fake news gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back." Without missing a beat, Kimmel responded, "You can't believe they gave me my job back. I can't believe we gave you your job back!"

Broadcast TV Is a 'Melting Ice Cube.' Kimmel Just Turned Up the Heat
Broadcast TV Is a'Melting Ice Cube.' Kimmel Just Turned Up the Heat After Sinclair and Nexstar pulled Jimmy Kimmel off air, the old affiliate model looks shakier than ever. Even Disney might do better without broadcast. Jimmy Kimmel returned to ABC this week. About a quarter of ABC's usual audience couldn't see the talk show host this week after two major owners of ABC affiliates, Sinclair and Nexstar, refused to carry the show. Those right-leaning companies apparently felt that Kimmel's joke--which included some disputed facts--was so unpardonable that they couldn't expose their viewers to the comedian.

Brendan Carr Isn't Going to Stop Until Someone Makes Him
In the wake of Jimmy Kimmel's suspension, experts say the FCC commissioner's conduct is flatly unconstitutional. They also expect him to keep going. Brendan Carr speaks in Washington, DC, on September 9, 2025. In what has become an all-too-regular display from Brendan Carr, the Federal Communications Commission chairman used a podcast appearance Wednesday to flex his regulatory power. In this instance, he threatened action against broadcasters that refused to punish Jimmy Kimmel for remarks he made on his ABC show Monday night.

Is She Really Mad at Me? Maybe ChatGPT Knows
Green was going through a breakup. The reasons for the split itself had been largely unremarkable by breakup standards: Two people, unable to meet each others' needs and struggling to communicate, had decided it was best to part ways. So when Green's ex reached out, unprompted, Green was shocked. The email itself was not notable. Green, a 29-year-old New Yorker, describes it as a typical letter to get after a breakup, an airing of grievances pointing out the ways in which expectations weren't met.
Jasmine Crockett tells Jimmy Kimmel she will 'absolutely' take head-to-head IQ test against Trump
Rep. Jasmine Crockett said she would "absolutely" take a head-to-head IQ test against President Donald Trump during an interview with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, told late-night host Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday that she would "absolutely" take a head-to-head IQ test against President Donald Trump. "He also called you low IQ, I'm sure you're aware of that. Would you be willing to take an IQ test publicly head-to-head against the President of the United States?" Kimmel played a clip of Trump talking about the Democratic lawmaker, during which he called Crockett the Democrats' "new star," and suggested the party was in trouble if that was the case.

Improving trust in autonomous technology
The combined power of AI and robotics is revolutionizing mobility and manufacturing. Automated vehicles, airplanes, people movers, and warehouse robots are improving in their range, flexibility, situational awareness, and intelligence, while better technology, a hunger for increased productivity and efficiency, and the pressures of covid-19 lockdowns have fueled investment in autonomous systems. In 2020 and…

Deep Learning in Geomtry: Arclentgh Learning
The calculation of curve length is one of the most major components in many modern and classical problem. For example, a handwritten signature involves the computation of the length along the curve (Ooi et al.). When one handles the challenge of length computation in real-life problems he faces several constraints such as additive noise, discretization error, and even partial information. In this work, we address a fundamental question in the field of geometry where we aim to reconstruct a basic property using DNN. The simplest geometric object is a curve, and a simple metric to evaluate a curve is the length.
Deep-learning tech reveals personal ID of cancer cells
Just as every handwritten signature is unique, so is every cancerous tumor. Researchers at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology have now used artificial intelligence and big datato decode the unique signatures of certain cancer cells. The resulting technology – dubbed a "computerized pathologist" –could significantly boost development of personalized cancer treatments. The researchers worked with digital images from breast-cancer biopsy samples. The new technology, described earlier this summer in the medical journal JAMA, extracts molecular information from the cell shape (morphology) and its environment.
