Michels, host of the American Alchemy podcast, warned about AI's deceptive nature, job-replacing power, risk of sentience, and potential to disrupt society if left unchecked. Rogan then highlighted shocking language buried in Congress's'Big Beautiful Bill' which would prohibit lawmakers from regulating the power of AI for the next 10 years. 'That's so crazy,' Rogan declared during the June 3 podcast. 'This means that US states would be blocked from enforcing laws regulating AI and automated decision systems for 10 years.

Scientists say they may have discovered origin of consciousness - and it's a theory popularized by Joe Rogan

Daily Mail - Science & tech

The birth of human consciousness may have truly been magic. Scientists have claimed that the consumption of the fungi psilocybin, also known as'magic mushrooms,' influenced pre-human hominids' brains six million years ago. They analyzed dozens of studies involving psilocybin and consciousness, finding the fungi increased connectivity between networks in the frontal brain region associated with expressive language, decision-making and memory. These'significant neurological and psychological effects' may have been the catalase ancient ancestors to interact with each other and the environment - spurring consciousness among our species. The idea that magic mushrooms sparked the pivotal point in humans has been touted by podcaster Joe Rogan, who has referenced the'Stoned Ape Theory' on his show multiple times.

Who're they fooling? 12 celebrity apologies in 2023 that may have been generated by AI, according to study that looked at public statement from Joe Rogan, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher and Elon Musk

The study deployed four AI-detection tools to uncover possible evidence of hastily crafted, insincere apologies penned by an AI chatbot: ChatGPTZero, Undetectable.ai, The team collected apologies from posts and videos and transcribed the content, which was scanned through the four systems and then analyzed for the likelihood of AI generation. Why Tesla Will Never Produce The Roadster

Why Tesla Will Never Produce The Roadster Tesla has been teasing the idea of a new Roadster for years, but it looks like the car won't actually be produced. In this article, we explore some of the reasons Tesla might never release a Roadster. Let's talk about what happened with the Tesla Roadster, the naked electric sports car was the car that launched Tesla as a brand and paved the way for Everything we know today and in 2017. Elon Musk revealed the next generation Roadster as it stormed the world with a Tesla semi-truck trailer Elon promised so much to that little car with the fastest production vehicle built from 0-60 in less than two seconds and a top speed of more than 250mph which is the longest range ever in an electric car at 620 Miles per charge and sticker price of just $200,000, which is pennies in the supercar world. The reason why you have a roadster suddenly come back to the top of our mind is that I remembered something Elon told Joe Rogan a couple years ago they were talking about the Roadster and how insane it would be Joe asked when are you going to make this thing and Elon said that he should probably do the semi and the Cyber truck first and then he'd get to the Roadster well the Tesla semi has begun first production and is going out to customers on December 1st.

CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta explains appearance on Joe Rogan podcast: 'I needed to go into the lion's den'

FOX News

In media news today, Katie Couric admits she protected Ruth Bader Ginsburg by editing out remarks on anthem kneelers, a former Obama ethics official slams the Biden White House for avoiding questions on Hunter Biden's artwork, and Facebook says it will treat journalist and activists as public figures CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta sought to explain the reasoning behind his appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast "The Joe Rogan Experience" this week, claiming he felt he "needed to go into the lion's den" to communicate to people about public health. Gupta faced intense criticism stemming from his appearance on the show, in which he admitted that CNN shouldn't have referred to Rogan's use of the drug ivermectin to treat the coronavirus as him using "horse dewormer." CNN did not immediately respond when asked if Gupta was forced to justify the appearance in his Wednesday piece following the backlash. In the piece titled "Why Joe Rogan and I sat down and talked -- for more than 3 hours," Gupta detailed his conversation with Rogan, including his "futile" attempt to convince the popular radio host to take the coronavirus vaccine, and compared it to being in a mixed martial arts (MMA) bout. "I realized that if I was serious about trying to communicate public health, I needed to go to a less comfortable place. I needed to go into the lion's den and accept an invitation to sit down with Joe Rogan for more than three hours," Gupta wrote before admitting that many of his friends advised him not to accept Rogan's invitation.

Joe Rogan - Elon Musk on AI, ROBOTS, NEURAL LINK

"Just as electricity transformed almost everything 100 years ago, today I actually have a hard time thinking of an industry that I don't think AI (Artificial Intelligence) will transform in the next several years." Andrew Ng. "I'm interested in things that change the world or that affect the future and wondrous, new technology where you see it, and you're like, 'Wow, how did that even happen? "The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race….It would take off on its own, and re-design itself at an ever increasing rate. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn't compete, and would be superseded." "I don't want to really scare you, but it was alarming how many people I talked to who are highly placed people in AI who have retreats that are sort of'bug out' houses, to which they could flee if it all hits the fan." "With artificial intelligence we are summoning the demon.
