Proving the Case for ML in Phishing Protection, with IRONSCALES - TechHQ

#artificialintelligence

Cybersecurity teams have always had to adapt to new attack methods and change the tools they use to fit the organization's processes better. A prime example of adapting to fit ways of work is the increased preponderance of cloud-based business services and applications. If most of the company's work takes place on web-based SaaS platforms, perimeter-based cybersecurity protection loses importance, and CISOs start to look at cloud-based zero-trust frameworks, for example. Similarly, as more companies move their workflows to Google Suite or Office 365, the secure email gateway that protected the on-prem email server and clients gets mothballed in favor of ICES (integrated cloud email security) solutions. At the same time, agent-based endpoint protection that uses heuristic scanning or rule-based algorithms with pushed/pulled updates are proving more ineffective against very, very smart phishing attacks that exploit weaknesses in every device's "biological interface." User education in online hygiene may have a role in solving that problem, but even seasoned cybersecurity veterans reading these pages will know that they too have, in a moment of inattention, clicked the odd suspect link.

IRONSCALES, the world's fastest growing email security company, announced that IRONSCALES' email security platform is now available on the Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSOAR Marketplace. The IRONSCALES content pack simplifies email security to stop email-based attacks and help organizations accelerate detection and streamline incident investigation and response workflows to stay safe in cloud-first world. "We're excited to join the Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSOAR ecosystem. We know email phishing is the most common threat vector impacting companies," said Eyal Benishti, CEO and Founder of IRONSCALES. "SOAR technology is a proven approach using automation and AI to help remediate threats at scale, which helps security teams operate with confidence. This partnership is a natural fit for IRONSCALES, and we're thrilled to join Palo Alto Networks to stop threat actors and protect customers."

IRONSCALES Deploys NLP to Automatically Prevent Email Compromise

#artificialintelligence

IRONSCALES, the pioneer of self-learning email security, announced that it has deployed natural language processing (NLP), using advanced machine learning (ML) and neural networks, to automatically detect and respond to the most common types of business email compromise (BEC) attacks. As an emerging phishing attack technique, BEC leans heavily on social engineering messages that rarely contain malicious attachments or links, resulting in frequent delivery into employee inboxes. In 2019, the FBI estimates that BEC attacks cost businesses at least $1.77 billion. "Business email compromise has emerged as a major headache for companies of all sizes," said Eyal Benishti, IRONSCALES founder and CEO. "We've been working for many years on building technology to reduce the risk posed by malicious messages that traditional email security safeguards were never built to detect. The addition of natural language processing further improves our ability to protect employee's inbox from BEC attacks, while relieving security analysts from the burden of manually analyzing and remediating every single threat."

IRONSCALES Wins Multiple Awards For Artificial Intelligence & Incident

#artificialintelligence

IRONSCALES, the pioneer of self-learning email security, today announced that is has won Cyber Defense Magazine's Infosec Award in the category of Most Innovative Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning application. In addition, IRONSCALES also revealed today that it has won two'Gold' awards from the Info Security Products Guide Global Excellence Awards in the categories of Artificial Intelligence in Security and Incident Analysis & Response. These awards continue momentum form 2019 in which IRONSCALES won a total of six awards, including the distinction as the Best Anti-Phishing Security Solution and Innovation in Email Security. "IRONSCALES philosophy has always been that in order to make a dent in what has become the global phishing epidemic, real-time human intelligence combined with technology that leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning is required to protect against the rapid scale of new phishing attacks," said Eyal Benishti, IRONSCALES founder and CEO. "Our team has worked tirelessly to build an email security platform that is both seamless to use yet incredibly powerful and effective. I thank the judges for recognizing our intuition and technological achievements, our thousands of customers for believing in our product and of course our dedicated team for pushing the limits to build the anti-phishing solution of tomorrow, today."
