The international refugee crisis deepens, exposing millions of displaced children to extreme psychological trauma. This research suggests a compact, AI - based framework for processing unstructured refugee health data and distilling knowledge on child mental health. We compare two Retrieval - Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, Zephyr - 7B - beta and DeepSeek R1 - 7B, to determine how well they process challenging humanitarian datasets while avoiding hallucination hazards. By combining cutting - edge AI methods with migration research and child psychology, this study presents a scalable strategy to assist policymakers, mental health practitioners, and humanitarian agencies to better assist displaced children and recognize their mental wellbeing. AfriClimate AI is a grassroots community focused on leveraging artificial intelligence to tackle climate challenges in Africa. We spoke to Amal Nammouchi, one of the co-founders of AfriClimate AI, about the inspiration behind the initiative, some of their activities and projects, and plans for the future. Everything started last year at the Deep Learning Indaba in Ghana. The Deep Learning Indaba is the largest African AI community gathering and it happens once a year. The spark for AfriClimate AI came from a workshop with the work of one of our co-founders Rendani Mbuvha.

As you can see, AI is everywhere, and a study by PwC estimated that global GDP would increase 14 percent by 2030 as businesses adopt AI, contributing an additional $15.7T to the worldwide economy Source. Before discussing the power of AI, we will provide a brief description of AI and the associated technologies: Machine Learning: training the computer system by a human to identify patterns in data and perform an expected action or decision.

Over the last few years, organizations have been building development operations (DevOps) teams to improve application development for the cloud and to enhance business agility.
