If you get an email with a potential calendar appointment in it--a party invitation, a meeting, a coworker casually mentioning you can join them for drinks after work today--you can forward it to the free bot. The service uses ChatGPT to parse the email and find the relevant bits of information, then turn that information into a calendar appointment, then add that calendar appointment to your Google Calendar.

Stanford University's "One Hundred Year Study on Artificial Intelligence" report from 2016 is close to the truth. The study's expert panel expects to see AI integrated into industries like elder care, education and public safety by 2030. "The field of AI is shifting toward building intelligent systems that can collaborate effectively with people." Tech companies are, of course, trendsetters when it comes to new technologies, and AI is no different. In fact, Google has been using AI through an algorithm it calls RankBrain, a machine-learning way to sort through all those Google Search results.

Todoist's latest upgrade is one that will benefit the busiest of task list-addled users. It's added two-way sync between its task lists and Google Calendar. This means that not only can you see, sort and prioritise tasks from inside your calendar (on the web, or on your app), but that any changes made will also flow back to your Todoist account. The team reckon it'll help busy users to plan out bigger projects, as they'll be better equipped to keep an eye on -- and plan for -- milestones along the way. It'll also cleverly block off time in your gCal schedule to ensure you bake in time for myriad projects and tasks. Once you authorize the integration of Todoist with your Google account, any existing tasks with due dates and times will be automatically added to your Google Calendar.

USA TODAY's Jefferson Graham says Google Home is improved but is still a work in progress with some gaping holes. That's how it was pitched in its sneak peek demo at the Google I/O 2016 developer conference. But when it was released to the public in November, it didn't turn out that way.
