Software Engineer III
We're on a mission to provide security teams with the intelligence they need to confront and stop advanced threats like supply chain attacks, zero day exploits, and ransomware attacks. Cyber attackers still have the advantage. Are you ready to help us reclaim the upper hand? Every day, banks, hospitals, government agencies, and entertainment companies rely on Extrahop's Reveal(x) a cloud-based machine learning cyber security platform to understand which users, devices and network activities they can trust. With this knowledge companies prevent fraud, data breaches, and can focus on building better user experiences, instead of worrying about security.

ExtraHop Named to the Forbes AI 50 List for 2020
ExtraHop, the leader in cloud-native network detection and response, announced that it has been named to the 2020 Forbes AI 50 list for its advances and innovation in the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence for cybersecurity. Forbes evaluated hundreds of applications to recognize 50 private, U.S.-based companies for their innovative use of artificial intelligence to drive outcomes for customers and within their own organizations. ExtraHop was selected on the basis of company growth and revenue, as well as for its leadership in the use of machine learning and AI for cybersecurity threat detection, investigation, and response. "Increasingly advanced cybersecurity attacks, including those sponsored by nation-states, require a sophisticated approach to threat detection and response," said Arif Kareem, CEO of ExtraHop. "This is not possible without machine learning and AI. At ExtraHop, we've applied these techniques to enable enterprises to detect and respond to cyber threats across complex enterprise and cloud environments at scale. Our inclusion on this list recognizes the strength of our approach."

Making behavioural analytics a cybersecurity defensive force with ExtraHop
Attend any cybersecurity conference or exhibition anywhere in the world, and despite the presence of multiple vendors attempting to sell their wares, you simply won't hear from any company the claim that its solution is the be-all and end-all of cybersecurity. There is no such thing as an all-powerful, all-pervasive solution to the dangers of a cyber incursion and data exfiltration or compromise. That's not to say, of course, that every cybersecurity measure is equally compelling. Most enterprise security teams adopt multiple complementary solutions, the combination of which is as effective as possible at any given moment. Just as even the most sea-worthy of vessels keep pumps close to the keel, however, even the most robust of cybersecurity infrastructures must be prepared for attackers to find a way in.

ExtraHop Announces Global Availability of Machine Learning Technology
ExtraHop machine learning technology is now available globally in both its performance management and Reveal(x) solutions. When paired with the ExtraHop analytics-first workflow, IT teams are instantly alerted to security and performance issues that they can then easily and rapidly investigate from high-level performance metrics to individual transactions to packets – all in a matter of clicks. The broad availability of machine learning within the ExtraHop performance and security products delivers enhanced value to customers by surfacing the most immediate security threats and performance impacts. ExtraHop's advanced machine learning is a highly secure and scalable technology that uses strong detectors based on dimensionality reduction and outlier detection to identify anomalies in real time. The technology builds self-adapting models for every device, network and application, and then proactively detects and surfaces potential issues in the environment directly into the ExtraHop UI.

ExtraHop Makes its Security Status Official with Reveal(x)
ExtraHop rolled out its first pure-play security product, Reveal(x). The new product builds on the company's earlier performance management software that uses machine learning to provide real-time insights into network behavior. It analyzes wire data that ExtraHop picks up, and automatically discovers, classifies, and prioritizes all devices, clients, and applications on the network. Reveal(x) then uses machine learning to produce insights and detect anomalies. Relying on log data, which is self-reported, "has historically been a challenge" to security analysts, said Matt Cauthorn, VP of security at ExtraHop.
