Eufy PoE Bullet Security Camera E40 review: Professional grade

PCWorld

The Eufy PoE Bullet Security Camera E40, along with Eufy's Network Video Recorder S4, is a strong choice for homeowners and small business owners who want the enhanced security and reliability of hardwired cameras; plus, local AI and local storage that eliminates the need for a subscription. Add-on camera, 129.99 (requires Eufy Network Video Recorder S4, 399.99) The Eufy PoE Bullet Security Camera E40 is aimed at homeowners and small business owners who want the reliability of wired infrastructure, along with local storage of security camera recordings to eliminate the cost of a cloud subscription. It's built for people who take their security seriously and are willing to pull cables through their walls to get it. The camera must be paired with Eufy's PoE NVR, which you'll likewise need to hardwire to your home network.

Eufy Lawnbot E18 review: An ideal robot mower for smaller yards

PCWorld

The Eufy Lawnbot E18 is a great robot lawn mower for smaller, flatter yards and for people who don't want to spend a lot of time setting one up. Outsourcing is one of the ways manufacturers can more affordably expand their product offerings, and some smart home brands--including Anker's Eufy smart home division--have taken this approach rather than developing their own products in-house. The Eufy Lawnbot E-series robot lawn mowers that Anker debuted at CES last January are actually rebranded TerraMow models that have been available in Europe since mid-2024. Apart from battery size, the two Lawnbot E-series mowers are identical, with the model E15 capable of handling up to 0.2 acres, while the model E18 reviewed here is suitable for up to 0.3 acres. Both Lawnbot E-series mowers might seem small compared to much of the competition--suburban and rural American yards tend to be very large--but you don't need to own an acre or more of turf to appreciate a robot lawn mower. The Eufy Lawnbot E18 will look familiar to European readers, as it's based on the design of the TerraMow S2100 that came to market in that region in 2023.

Eufy S4 Max NVR review: Upscale home security, no subscription

PCWorld

The Eufy S4 Max NVR is a serious system for users who want smart features without giving up privacy or flexibility. Most home security systems force you to choose between smart features and local control. As its name indicates, this is a PoE (Power over Ethernet), NVR (Network Video Recorder) system with a built-in AI agent that runs on its own local hardware--there's no cloud storage and no subscription fees required to unlock key features. The bundle includes four of Eufy's PoE Cam S4 triple-lens cameras. Each of these has a fixed-position camera with a single wide-angle lens (122-degree field of view) that's fused to the dual-lens, pan/tilt/zoom camera beneath it.

EufyCam S3 Pro Kit review: Local storage means no subscription

PCWorld

The EufyCam S3 Pro 2-Cam Kit delivers sharp, reliable, and fully independent home security without locking you into ongoing fees. Cloud subscriptions that lock your security camera footage behind a monthly fee are a frustrating reality for homeowners. The EufyCam S3 Pro 2-Cam Kit offers a way out. With 4K video resolution, smart AI detection, and solar panels integrated into the two cameras, it delivers top-shelf performance without roping you into a payment plan. Eufy does offer cloud storage as an option, but the cameras in this offering store their recordings locally on Eufy's HomeBase 3 hub--a NAS box (network-attached storage), essentially--enhancing your privacy while saving you money on subscription fees.

Eufy's new security NVRs will boast crime-detecting AI agents

PCWorld

Eufy is teeing up a pair of networked security video recorder and camera kits that will--eventually--use AI agents to warn you of possible threats in real time. Both systems offer connections for PoE (Power over Ethernet) cameras, with the ProSecure NVR arriving in various packages that combine 4K bullet Pan/tilt/zoom and turret-style cameras with color night vision, cross-camera tracking (a Eufy feature that stiches together video events from different vantage points), and up to 8X digital zoom. The ProSecure NVR supports a total of 16 connected cameras. The ProSecure NVR arrives in various packages that combine bullet PTZ and turret-style cameras. In addition to PoE cams, the Zigbee-enabled HomeBase Pro can connect to everything from Eufy keypads and smoke detectors to video doorbells and water leak sensors.

Eufy's new robot mowers use smart vision to trim your grass

Engadget

Anker's lifestyle brand Eufy has already swallowed a big chunk of the robot vacuum market and now it's got its sights on your yard. The company has been sharing details of its first two robot mowers since the start of the year, and now they're ready to start selling them. Eufy's E15 and E18 are designed to automate one of the most tedious jobs around the home -- if you're able to pay. I've been testing an E15 for the last few weeks ahead of their retail debut today and I'm fairly impressed. Early robot mowers needed a boundary wire to tell them where they were allowed to mow.

Eufy's latest smart lock is literally a palm reader

PCWorld

We've seen smart locks that you unlock with a keypad, a phone, or even facial recognition, but Eufy's latest model--which is actually a video doorbell and a smart lock--serves up a relatively new way of opening your door by scanning your palm. Available for pre-order next month (existing Eufy users can place a pre-order now), the Eufy FamiLock S3 Max isn't the first smart lock to employ this new biometric authentication method. TP-Link's Tapo brand showed off a palm-recognition model at CES, for example, and we've also tested palm reader-equipped smart locks from Philips and TCL. The technology is pretty cool, with the integrated reader using near-infrared light to scan the "sub veins" of your palm. The lock then compares the scan to those in a database of previously enrolled palm scans and, if there's a match, voilà!

Eufy's new robot vacuum can transform into a stick vac

Engadget

CES is known for putting the spotlight on wacky innovations and Eufy came prepared for this year's event. The company just revealed its E20 robot vacuum, which can actually transform from a traditional robovac to a manually-controlled stick vac. This is the first time we've seen something like this. Some robovacs include additional stick vacuums, but do not transform into them. On the outside, it looks similar to competing robot vacuums from companies like Roomba.

Eufy's new indoor PTZ security cam does HomeKit, color night vision

PCWorld

After years of giving the cold shoulder to Apple's HomeKit platform, Anker's Eufy has surprisingly announced its second new HomeKit security camera in just a few months. On sale now for 69.99, the Eufy Indoor Cam E30 is an indoor camera with a motorized lens that pans, tilts, and zooms around the room, and it works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit. The Indoor Cam E30 follows Eufy's first HomeKit camera in a few years, the S3 Pro Outdoor Cam, which made its debut back in September. The new Indoor Cam E30 is essentially a revamp of an older PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera, the Indoor Cam 2K Pan and Tilt from 2020. While the older indoor cam was restricted to 2K video resolution, the just-announced Indoor Cam E30 ups the ante to 4K, marking a significant jump in video quality.
